Journal ArticleDOI
The use of ace inhibitors influences the risk of progression of BD-IPMNs under follow-up.
Roberto Valente,Stefano Crippa,Urban Arnelo,Giuseppe Vanella,Giulia Zerboni,Laura Zarantonello,Alessandro Fogliati,Paolo Giorgio Arcidiacono,Miroslav Vujasinovic,J. Lohr,Massimo Falconi,Gabriele Capurso,Marco Del Chiaro +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the association between the use of ASA, ACEI/ARBs and the risk of progression of BD-IPMNs in follow-up, and showed that ASA, ARB and Statins show no convincing effect on the progression of diabetes mellitus without relative or absolute indication for surgery.

Ana C. Lira-Treviño,I.G. Carranza Mendoza,J.P. Borbolla Arizti,A. Soriano-Ríos,L.F. Uscanga-Domínguez,Mario Pelaez-Luna +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the diagnosis of pancreatic cystic lesions includes non-neoplastic lesions and neoplastic epithelial lesions, and a critical path that facilitates the characterization and management of these lesions is provided.

A Blood-based Gene-expression Scoring System for Cancer Screening in Patients With Branch-duct Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms.
Rei Suzuki,Hirosumi Tamura,Reiko Honma,Naoki Konno,Hiroki Irie,Tadayuki Takagi,Mitsuru Sugimoto,Hiroyuki Asama,Yuki Sato,Okubo Yoshinori,Jun Nakamura,Mika Takasumi,Tsunetaka Kato,Minami Hashimoto,Takuto Hikichi,Jun-ichi Imai,Shinya Watanabe,Hiromasa Ohira +17 more
TL;DR: A blood-based gene expression scoring system for cancer screening in patients with branch-duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (BD-IPMN) showed high diagnostic yield and was not reduced even in early-stage pancreatic malignancies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Independent predictors of secondary invasive pancreatic remnant tumors after initial resection of an intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm: a nationwide large-scale survey in Japan.
TL;DR: Primary invasive IPMN proved to be a significant predictor of secondary invasive IPMNs in the remnant pancreas, and both short-interval and long-term follow-up may help to determine the prognosis of patients after IPMN resection.
Journal ArticleDOI
A nomogram for predicting pancreatic mucinous cystic neoplasm and serous cystic neoplasm
Chengwei Shao,Xiaochen Feng,Jieyu Yu,Yinghao Meng,Fang Liu,Hao Zhang,Xu Fang,Jing Li,Li Wang,Hui Jiang,Jianping Lu,Yun Bian +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multivariable logistic regression model was developed using a training set consisting of 129 patients with SCN and 38 patients with MCN who were admitted between October 2012 and April 2019.

A validation study of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) in different groups of Dutch subjects
Ph. Spinhoven,Johan Ormel,P. P. A. Sloekers,Gertrudis I. J. M. Kempen,Anne E. M. Speckens,A.M. van Hemert +5 more
TL;DR: The moderate PPV suggests that the HADS is best used as a screening questionnaire and not as a 'case-identifier' for psychiatric disorder or depression.

TL;DR: Ovarian-type stroma has been proposed as a requisite to distinguish MCN from IPMN, and some other distinct features to characterize IPMN and MCN have been identified, but there remain ambiguities between the two diseases.
