Identification, modeling and ligand affinity of early deuterostome CYP51s, and functional characterization of recombinant zebrafish sterol 14α-demethylase

TLDR
Biochemical and computational analyses are consistent with lanosterol being a substrate for early deuterostome CYP51s, and the results expand the phylogenetic view of animal CYP 51, with evolutionary, environmental and therapeutic implications.

Occurrence, fate and ecological risk of five typical azole fungicides as therapeutic and personal care products in the environment: A review.

TL;DR: The reported effects include regulation changes in expression of cytochrome P450-related genes and alteration in CYP450-regulated steroidogenesis causing endocrine disruption in fish causing toxic effects on aquatic organisms such as algae and fish.
Journal ArticleDOI

The developmental effect of difenoconazole on zebrafish embryos: A mechanism research.

TL;DR: A large suite of symptoms were induced by difenoconazole, including hatching regression, heart rate decrease, growth inhibition and teratogenic effects, and Q-PCR (quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction) results showed that the transcription of genes related to embryonic development was decreased after exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Occurrence and origin of sensitivity toward difenoconazole in zebrafish (Danio reio) during different life stages.

TL;DR: An investigation of the mechanisms contributing to the divergent sensitivity toward the triazole fungicide difenoconazole of zebrafish (Danio reio) during different life stages finds a decrease in antioxidant enzyme activities was observed in both the embryos and the livers of adult fish after exposure to difanoconazoles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exposure to prothioconazole induces developmental toxicity and cardiovascular effects on zebrafish embryo.

TL;DR: The adverse effects on the developmental and cardiovascular system of zebrafish embryo caused by prothioconazole are revealed and a theoretical foundation for pesticide risk management measures is provided.

Two azole fungicides (carcinogenic triadimefon and non-carcinogenic myclobutanil) exhibit different hepatic cytochrome P450 activities in medaka fish.

TL;DR: In this paper, a lower vertebrate, medaka fish (Oryzias latipes) was exposed to continuous aqueous solutions of carcinogenic triadimefon and non-carcinogenic myclobutanil for 7 to 20 days at sub-lethal or environmentally relevant concentrations and assessed hepatic CYP activity and gene expression associated with CYP-mediated toxicity.

PROCHECK: a program to check the stereochemical quality of protein structures

TL;DR: The PROCHECK suite of programs as mentioned in this paper provides a detailed check on the stereochemistry of a protein structure and provides an assessment of the overall quality of the structure as compared with well refined structures of the same resolution.

AutoDock Vina: Improving the speed and accuracy of docking with a new scoring function, efficient optimization, and multithreading

TL;DR: AutoDock Vina achieves an approximately two orders of magnitude speed‐up compared with the molecular docking software previously developed in the lab, while also significantly improving the accuracy of the binding mode predictions, judging by tests on the training set used in AutoDock 4 development.
