Effect of incremental levels of L-lysine and determination of the limiting amino acids in low crude protein corn-soybean meal diets for broilers

TL;DR: 0.25% l-Lys.HCl can be added to C-SBM diets supplemented with Met, Thr, and Gly with no negative effects on growth performance, and Arg and Val are equaling limiting in diets containing 0.25%, according to the results of experiment 5.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of micronization, dehulling, and enzyme supplementation on the nutritional value of peas for laying hens

TL;DR: It can be concluded that of the treatments tested only micronization had a positive effect on the feeding value of peas for laying hens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interactions and Antigen Dependence of Dietary n-3 and n-6 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids on Antibody Responsiveness in Growing Layer Hens

TL;DR: The present study indicates that various factors affect the Ab responses, and the interaction of n-6 and n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) is more important than the separate effects ofn-3 or n-7, and feed conversion was more efficient in birds fed high levels of LA and LNA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of feed supplemented with fermented pine needles (Pinus ponderosa) on growth performance and antioxidant status in broilers

TL;DR: It was concluded that the addition of fermented treatment to the diet could improve antioxidant capacity in broilers, as evidenced by the decrease in malondialdehyde and the increase in total superoxide dismutase activities; however, the effect of fermentation treatment on growth performance was negligible.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dietary Lipoic Acid Influences Antioxidant Capability and Oxidative Status of Broilers

TL;DR: Results indicate that dietary supplementation with 300 mg/kg LA may enhance antioxidant capability and depress oxidative stress in broilers.
