Primordial nucleosynthesis: Theory and observations

TLDR
In this paper, the cosmology and physics underlying primordial nucleosynthesis were reviewed and current observational data was surveyed in order to compare the predictions of Big Bang Nucleosynthesis with the inferred primordial abundances.

The many lives of active galactic nuclei: cooling flows, black holes and the luminosities and colours of galaxies

TL;DR: In this article, the authors simulate the growth of galaxies and their central supermassive black holes by implementing a suite of semi-analytic models on the output of the Millennium Run, a very large simulation of the concordance A cold dark matter cosmogony.

The evolution and explosion of massive stars

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the current understanding of the lives and deaths of massive stars, with special attention to the relevant nuclear and stellar physics, and focused on their post-helium-burning evolution.

THE COSMIC INFRARED BACKGROUND: Measurements and Implications ⁄

TL;DR: The cosmic infrared background records much of the radiant energy released by processes of structure formation that have occurred since the decoupling of matter and radiation following the Big Bang as discussed by the authors, with additional constraints coming from studies of the attenuation of TeV γ-rays.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new model of agegraphic dark energy

TL;DR: Cai et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a new model of agegraphic dark energy based on the Karolyhazy relation, where the time scale is chosen to be the conformal time eta of the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe.

A Measurement of excess antenna temperature at 4080-Mc/s

TL;DR: In this paper, the effective zenith noise temperature of the 20-foot horn-reflector antenna (Crawford, Hogg, and Hunt 1961) at the Crawford Hill Laboratory, Holmdel, New Jersey, at 4080 Mc/s has yielded a value about 3.5 K higher than expected.

The Cosmic Microwave Background spectrum from the full COBE FIRAS data set

TL;DR: In this article, the Far-InfraRed Absolute Spectrophotometer (FIRAS) on board the COBE (COsmic Background Explorer) is used to measure the difference between the cosmic microwave background and a precise blackbody spectrum.

The cosmic baryon budget

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an estimate of the global budget of baryons in all states, with conservative estimates of the uncertainties, based on all relevant information they have been able to marshal.
