Toxicity of cobalt and copper to rainbow trout: application of a mechanistic model for predicting survival

TL;DR: In this article, a 14-day laboratory toxicity test with rainbow trout was conducted to evaluate the acute toxicity of Co and Cu, and the effects of selected Co concentrations on the toxicity of Cu in Co/Cu mixtures.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vivo and in vitro characteristics of six Paracoccidioides brasiliensis strains.

TL;DR: The yeast-like forms of six P. brasiliensis strains were characterized and compared using in vitro (growth curve determination) and in vivo (pathogenicity to sensitive inbred mice) criteria, displaying an intermediate pattern of virulence and growing conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Auditory Processing of Amplitude Envelope Rise Time in Adults Diagnosed With Developmental Dyslexia

TL;DR: In this paper, a range of different rise-time tasks used with children, and given them to adults with developmental dyslexia, along with two other auditory tasks (intensity discrimination and temporal order judgment) were found to predict literacy attainment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design, spectral characterization and biological studies of transition metal(II) complexes with triazole Schiff bases.

TL;DR: It has been shown that all the synthesized compounds showed moderate to significant antibacterial activity against one or more bacterial strains and against six fungal strains by using agar-well diffusion method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Total i.v. anaesthesia with propofol and alfentanil: dose requirements for propofol and the effect of premedication with clonidine

TL;DR: In 51 healthy patients undergoing body surface surgery, the dose requirements for propofol, as part of a total i.v. anaesthesia technique with an alfentanil infusion, were determined, with results that wererapid, uncomplicated and uneventful.
