Journal ArticleDOI
Potent anticonvulsant urea derivatives of constitutional isomers of valproic acid.
TL;DR: The broad spectrum of anticonvulsant activity of the urea derivatives coupled with their wide safety margin make them potential candidates to become new, potent AEDs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Baseline Responses of Adult Alphitobius diaperinus (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) to Fenitrothion and Susceptibility Status of Populations in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia
TL;DR: Application of fenitrothion in Australian broiler houses for control of A. diaperinus has now ceased and dose–mortality data generated for the susceptible reference beetle population over a range of fyodorous concentrations showed that 0.15% fen itrothion at a LC99.9 level could be used as a convenient topical dose concentration to discriminate between susceptible and resistant individuals.
Book ChapterDOI
Methods and Concepts of Biometrics Applied to Teratology
TL;DR: For the most part, the discussion here focuses on those species that produce litters with more than one offspring, and the use of fitting mathematical models to describe doseresponse relationships is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen and Ethylene Effects on Potato Tuber Dormancy Release and Sprout Growth☆
TL;DR: Sprout length was modelled successfully by multiple regression analysis in terms of glucose and ABA levels within the apical eye tissues of Russet Burbank tubers immediately after, and regardless of, previous gas treatments or storage temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Antibody Treatment of Campylobacter jejuni on the Dose Required to Colonize Chicks
TL;DR: It is concluded that antibodies inhibit chicken cecal colonization by C. jejuni.
