Journal ArticleDOI
Germination responses to light and alternating temperatures in european populations of dactylis glomerata l.
TL;DR: Evidence is presented that positive pressures applied during gassing led to a reduction in germination and Elevated oxygen levels promoted germination of intact seeds suggesting that the outer coverings might restrict oxygen access.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differences between Lactococcus garvieae isolated from the genus Seriola in Japan and those isolated from other animals (trout, terrestrial animals from Europe) with regard to pathogenicity, phage susceptibility and genetic characterization
Michiko Kawanishi,T. Yoshida,S. Yagashiro,Mayumi Kijima,K. Yagyu,T. Nakai,Masaru Murakami,Hidetoshi Morita,Shoko Suzuki +8 more
TL;DR: This work isolates Lactococcus garvieae from the Seriola in Japan and isolates from other animals to clarify the epidemiological relationship between these isolates and that of other animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Validation of Low Virulence in Field Strains of Listeria monocytogenes
Sylvie M. Roche,P. Gracieux,Isabelle Albert,Malika Gouali,Christine Jacquet,P.M.V. Martin,Philippe Velge +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the low-virulence strains exhibited a phenotypic stability and were not a mixture of virulent and avirulent bacteria, confirming the importance of these low- virulence field strains in identifying the proteins involved in virulence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and biological studies of sulfonamide Schiff’s bases and some of their metal derivatives
TL;DR: The identification of the metal complexes as an effective antimicrobial agent with low cytotoxicity is enabled.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acute toxicity of para-nonylphenol to saltwater animals
TL;DR: A database for acute toxicity of PNP derived for calculating a national saltwater quality criterion implies that exceeding a threshold concentration would endanger a large proportion of the aquatic community.
