Isolation, Structure Elucidation, and Biological Activity of Flavone 6-C-Glycosides from Alliaria petiolata

TL;DR: In this article, a methanol extract of the seeds of Alliaria petiolata has been used for HPLC analysis and the molecular structures were elucidated by UV, ESIMS and comprehensive 1D (1H and 13 C) and 2D (gradient multiple quantum filtered 1H-1H COSY, 1H 13C HSQC and 1H -13C HMBC) NMR analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dimethyl Disulfide Exerts Insecticidal Neurotoxicity Through Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Activation of Insect KATP Channels

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that DMDS induced an uncommon complex neurotoxic activity and was inhibited by glibenclamide and tolbutamide, and was dependent on intracellular ATP concentration, demonstrating a neurotoxicity via the activation of KATP channels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antibacterial and cytotoxic activity of Brazilian plant extracts - Clusiaceae

TL;DR: Twelve extracts obtained from nine plants belonging to six different genera of Clusiaceae were analyzed against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria using the microdilution broth assay and none of the antibacterial extracts showed lethal activity against brine shrimp nauplii.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neurotoxicity, Behavior, and Lethal Effects of Cadmium, Microplastics, and Their Mixtures on Pomatoschistus microps Juveniles from Two Wild Populations Exposed under Laboratory Conditions―Implications to Environmental and Human Risk Assessment

TL;DR: Investigation of the short-term toxicity of cadmium to wild Pomatochistus microps juveniles and the potential modulation of acute Cd toxicity by 1–5 µm polyethylene MPs indicate that MPs modulated the sub-lethal toxic effects of Cd in wild P.microps juveniles, especially neurotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of the Acuity Card Procedure for Assessment of Infants with Ocular Disorders

TL;DR: The acuity card procedure is used to assess 20 2- to 8-month-old infant patients with ocular disorders, including aphakia, strabismus, ptosis, and orbital hemangioma, to establish the potential clinical utility of the acuityCard procedure for the assessment of infant patients.
