Single-step biological fabrication of colloidal silver nanoparticles using Hugonia mystax: larvicidal potential against Zika virus, dengue, and malaria vector mosquitoes

TL;DR: Overall, the proposed eco-friendly synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) employing a low-cost extract of Hugonia mystax shed light on the mosquito larvicidal efficacy of H. mystax, a possible biological resource for low- cost fabrication of AgNPs.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vivo evaluation of anthelmintic potential of medicinal plant extracts against Dactylogyrus intermedius (Monogenea) in goldfish (Carassius auratus)

TL;DR: The results indicated that the three extracts from R. Bupleuri chinensis exhibit potential to be used as preferred natural antiparasitics for the control of the D. intermedius, especially for the methanolic one.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of the COBAS TaqMan HCV Test with Automated Sample Processing Using the MagNA Pure LC Instrument

TL;DR: The MP is a versatile, labor-saving sample processing platform suitable for reliable performance of TaqMan HCV, and shows good linearity across a wide range of HCV RNA levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Potentiation/Antagonism of pyrethroids with organophosphate insecticides in Bemisia tabaci (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae).

TL;DR: Bifenthrin + methyl parathion and deltamethrin + triazophos mixtures were antagonistic when tested on several populations of B.tabaci using a leaf-dip bioassay.
Journal Article

Acaricidal activities of Artemisia judaica L. extracts against Tetranychus urticae Koch and its predator Phytoseiulus persimilis Athias Henriot (Tetranychidae : Phytoseiidae).

TL;DR: Results indicated that adults are more susceptible to the leaf extracts than immature, and Phytoseiulus persimilis against ethanolic extract was very low, compared to the LC 50 values of both adult and immature of T. urticae.
