Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of thermal and photo dual-responsive amphiphilic random copolymer via atom transfer radical polymerization and its control release of doxorubicin
TL;DR: In this article, a dual-responsive amphiphilic random copolymer containing tri(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate (MEO3MA) and 1′-(2-acryloxyethyl)-3′,3′-dimethyl-6-nitrospiro-(2H-1-benzopyran-2,2′-indoline) (SPMA) was successfully synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reversible inhibition of radical polymerization
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the kinetics of radical polymerization in the presence of reversible inhibitors, i.e. substances which can form labile adducts with macroradicals, and inifers substances which degrade with formation of active and inhibiting radicals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Controllable radical copolymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate using 1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-1,2-bis(trimethylsilyloxy) ethane as initiator
TL;DR: In this article, a copolymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate was carried out using 1,1,2,2-tetraphenyl-1, 2-bis (trimethylsilyloxy) ethane (TPSE) as initiator, and the polymer molecular weight (Mw) increased with the conversion and polymerization time.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
UV free-radical polymerization for micropatterning poly(ethylene glycol)-containing films
TL;DR: In this article, a block copolymerization of monomers using UV free-radial polymerization was proposed to create patterns on the films by applying a mask and selectively irradiating the surface.

13 – Chain Transfer
TL;DR: In this article, the chain-transfer reactions in radical polymerization have been described in Volume 3, Chapters 1 and 3. Although the principles of such reactions were proposed in 1937,1 the first chemical evidence for a specific transfer process followed a few years later.
