TLDR
In this paper, it was observed that a eutectic mixture of sulfathiazole and urea produces a microcrystalline suspension of the drug in water, which can be used to adjust the therapeutic effect of medical compounds.
Abstract
1) Sulfathiazole forms eutectic mixtures with urea, l-ascorbic acid, acetamide, nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, or succinimide. It was observed that a eutectic mixture of sulfathiazole and urea produces a microcrystalline suspension of sulfathiazole in water. 2) Sulfathiazole in a eutectic mixture with urea shows higher absorption and excretion after oral administration than ordinary sulfathiazole. 3) Since urea does not possess solubilizing action on sulfathiazole and also it does not enhance absorption of the drug physiologically, the accelerated absorption or excretion must be attributed to the physical state of sulfathiazole in its eutectic mixture with easily soluble compound, such as urea. 4) It is assumed that this new form of preparation will give a means of adjusting therapeutic effect of medical compounds.

Phase diagram and dissolution studies of the fenofibrate–acetylsalicylic acid system

TL;DR: In this article, a phase diagram for the whole range of compositions was constructed and the existence of a metastable polymorph of fenofibrate has been confirmed, which correlated with the phase diagram.

Determination of the Degree of Crystallinity in Solid-Solid Equilibria

TL;DR: A method based on dissolution rates was developed for estimating the ratio of crystalline drug to that dispersed at the molecular level within a carrier and it was shown that under appropriately chosen conditions, the dissolution rate of the drug was linearly related to its degree of crystallinity.

Methods of studying aging and stabilization of spray-congealed solid dispersions with carnauba wax. 1. Microcalorimetric investigation.

TL;DR: It is shown that isothermal microcalorimetry can be used to observe the change in the thermodynamic state of spray-congealed carnauba wax during storage and by means of annealing, a spray- Congealed product closer to a thermodynamically stable state has been achieved.
