4-Aminothioureaprolinal Dithioacetal as a Catalyst for Highly Enantioselective Michael Additions of Ketones and Aldehydes to Nitroolefins
TL;DR: The 4-Aminothiourereaprolinal dithioacetal 4a is a highly efficient catalyst for the asymmetric Michael addition of ketones and aldehydes to nitroolefins requiring only 3 mol-% catalyst loading.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facile Assembly of Chiral Tetrahydrothiopyrans Containing Four Consecutive Stereocenters via an Organocatalytic Enantioselective Michael–Michael Cascade
Shengzheng Wang,Yongqiang Zhang,Guoqiang Dong,Shanchao Wu,Kun Fang,Li Zhengang,Zhenyuan Miao,Jianzhong Yao,Hao Li,Jian Li,Wannian Zhang,Wei Wang,Wei Wang,Chunquan Sheng +13 more
TL;DR: An organocatalytic enantioselective Michael-Michael cascade reaction has been implemented for the creation of structurally variant chiral tetrahydrothiopyrans.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phthalimido-prolinamide: a new chiral catalyst for solvent free enantioselective aldol reactions
TL;DR: In this article, a new prolinamide derivative phthalimido-prolinamide 1 was developed for organocatalytic enantioselective direct aldol reactions of various aldehydes with ketones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Cyclic Thioethers through Tandem C(sp3)−S and C(sp2)−S Bond Formations from α,β‘-Dichloro Vinyl Ketones
TL;DR: The synthesis of 5- to 8-memebered cyclic thioethers 4 has been achieved through a simple two-step sequence using the facile Friedel-Crafts acylation of terminal alkynes with acid chlorides followed by tandem C(sp(3))-S and C( sp(2)O)-S bond formations with NaSH.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of thiochromans based on indirect cation pool method
TL;DR: In this article, a method for the synthesis of thiochromans based on the reactions of stilbenes and alkoxycarbenium ion pools, which were generated and accumulated by the reaction of anodically generated ArS(ArSSAr) + with thioacetals, has been developed.
