Unified phantom cosmology: inflation, dark energy and dark matter under the same standard

TLDR
In this article, the authors developed a unified phantom cosmology where the same scalar plays the role of early time (phantom) inflaton and late-time dark energy, and the recent transition from decelerating to accelerating phase is described too by the scalar field.

Phantom Energy: Dark Energy with w< 1 Causes a Cosmic Doomsday

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the consequences that follow if the dark energy is phantom energy, in which the sum of the pressure and energy density is negative, and the positive phantom energy density becomes infinite in finite time, overcoming all other forms of matter, such that the gravitational repulsion rapidly brings our brief epoch of cosmic structure to a close.

Modified gravity with negative and positive powers of curvature: Unification of inflation and cosmic acceleration

TL;DR: A modified gravity, which eliminates the need for dark energy and which seems to be stable, is considered in this article, where the terms with positive powers of curvature support the inflationary epoch while the terms that serve as effective dark energy, supporting current cosmic acceleration.
