Updates on Management of Gastric Cancer.

TLDR
Treatment of gastric cancer is rapidly evolving in an effort to combat this challenging disease.
Abstract
Gastric adenocarcinoma is the fifth most common and the third most lethal cancer worldwide. Surgery is the only chance of cure, but recurrence is common, even with complete resection. Advances in diagnosis and staging, genomic classification, surgical resection and treatment of peritoneal disease, systemic chemotherapy and chemoradiation, and targeted and immune therapies have led to the current multidisciplinary approach to gastric adenocarcinoma. Treatment of gastric cancer is rapidly evolving in an effort to combat this challenging disease.

m6A RNA Methylation Regulators Contribute to Malignant Progression and Have Clinical Prognostic Impact in Gastric Cancer.

TL;DR: A risk signature is derived, using 3 m6A RNA methylation regulators (FTO, RBM15, ALKBH5), that is not only an independent prognostic marker but can also predict the clinicopathological features of gastric cancer.

Third- and later-line treatment in advanced or metastatic gastric cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

TL;DR: The use of TLT and ST was superior to placebo or best supportive care in terms of prolonging overall survival and progression-free survival and Hematological toxicities were more frequent in ST.

Retinoic Acids in the Treatment of Most Lethal Solid Cancers.

TL;DR: The comparison between different solid cancer types pointed out that for some cancer types several information are still lacking, and sometimes they can differently respond to retinoic acid therapy, so that generalization cannot be made.
