Soil-plant compartments affect fungal microbiome diversity and composition in grapevine

TL;DR: Investigating how fungal communities are enriched in different habitats outside and inside of grapevine roots suggested an increase in the relative abundances of potential plant pathogens, endophytes and arbuscular mycorrhiza, and a decrease in wood, dung and undefined saprotrophs from bulk soil towards the endorhizosphere.

Comprehensive virus detection using next generation sequencing in grapevine vascular tissues of plants obtained from the wine regions of Bohemia and Moravia (Czech Republic).

TL;DR: Next generation sequencing virus detection was used to detect the whole spectrum of viruses and viroids in selected grapevines from the Czech Republic, confirming the high effectiveness of the technique in plant virology and producing results supporting previous data on multiple infected grapevine in Czech vineyards.
