Gaia Early Data Release 3: The Galactic anticentre

Teresa Antoja, +453 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the data from the Gaia Early Data Release 3 (EDR3) to select different populations and components and to calculate the distances and velocities in the direction of the anticentre.
Journal ArticleDOI

Close stellar conjunctions of alpha Centauri A and B until 2050 - An mK = 7.8 star may enter the Einstein ring of alpha Cen A in 2028

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a catalog of the expected close conjunctions of alpha Cen A with distant stars until 2050, including the most favorable stellar conjunctions within at least the next three decades.
Journal ArticleDOI

Atomic diffusion in star models of type earlier than G

TL;DR: In this article, the authors introduce the mixing resulting from the radiative diffusivity associated with radiative viscosity in the calculation of stellar evolution models and find that this mixing significantly diminishes the efficiency of the gravitational settling in the external layers of stellar models corresponding to types earlier than ≈ G.
