Methods for analysis of brain connectivity: An IFCN-sponsored review.
P.M. Rossini,R. Di Iorio,Marina Bentivoglio,Giuseppe Bertini,Florinda Ferreri,Christian Gerloff,Risto J. Ilmoniemi,F. Miraglia,M.A. Nitsche,Franco Pestilli,Mario Rosanova,Yuichiro Shirota,Chiara Tesoriero,Yoshikazu Ugawa,F. Vecchio,Ulf Ziemann,Mark Hallett +16 more
TL;DR: This paper examines existing methods to study the "Human Brain Connectome" with a specific focus on the neurophysiological ones, including the most commonly used structural and functional MRI, EEG, MEG and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques and measures of local and global brain connectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Results show that even when given the exact same sets of underlying streamlines, the variability across protocols for bundle segmentation is greater than all other sources of variability in the virtual dissection process, including variability within protocols and variability across subjects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Occipital White Matter Tracts in Human and Macaque.
Hiromasa Takemura,Hiromasa Takemura,Franco Pestilli,Kevin S. Weiner,Georgios A. Keliris,Georgios A. Keliris,Sofia M. Landi,Julia Sliwa,Frank Q. Ye,Michael Barnett,David A. Leopold,Winrich A. Freiwald,Nikos K. Logothetis,Brian A. Wandell +13 more
TL;DR: Comparisons and differences between the occipital lobe tracts will be useful in establishing which circuitry in the macaque can serve as an accurate model for human visual cortex.
Journal Article
The visual white matter: The application of diffusion MRI and fiber tractography to vision science.
Ariel Rokem,Hiromasa Takemura,Andrew S. Bock,K S Scherf,Marlene Behrmann,Brian A. Wandell,Ione Fine,Holly Bridge,Franco Pestilli +8 more
TL;DR: A review article as discussed by the authors provides an introduction to measurements and methods to study the human visual white matter using diffusion MRI, which allows us to measure the microstructural and macro-structural properties of the white matter in living human individuals; they allow us to trace long-range connections between neurons in different parts of the visual system and to measure biophysical properties of these connections.
Journal ArticleDOI
The open diffusion data derivatives, brain data upcycling via integrated publishing of derivatives and reproducible open cloud services
Paolo Avesani,Paolo Avesani,Brent McPherson,Soichi Hayashi,Cesar F. Caiafa,Cesar F. Caiafa,Cesar F. Hancock,Bradley Caron,Yiming Qian,Franco Pestilli +21 more
TL;DR: The Open Diffusion Data Derivatives (O3D) repository is described: an integrated collection of preserved brain data derivatives and processing pipelines, published together using a single digital-object-identifier.
