Journal ArticleDOI
Membrane insertion of αA-crystallin is oligomer-size dependent.
TL;DR: The results suggested that the irreversible changes in oligomer size induced by various stresses might promote the membrane association of αA-crystallin and therefore might play a role in aged cataract.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: Lanosterol reverses protein aggregation in cataracts
Ling Zhao,Xiang-Jun Chen,Jie Zhu,Yi-Bo Xi,Xu Yang,Li-Dan Hu,Hong Ouyang,Sherrina Patel,Xin Jin,Danni Lin,Frances Wu,Ken Flagg,Huimin Cai,Gen Li,Guiqun Cao,Ying Lin,Daniel Chen,Cindy Wen,Christopher Chung,Yandong Wang,Austin Qiu,Emily Yeh,Wenqiu Wang,Xun Hu,Seanna Grob,Ruben Abagyan,Zhiguang Su,Harry C. Tjondro,Xi-Juan Zhao,Hongrong Luo,Rui Hou,John Perry,Weiwei Gao,Igor Kozak,David B. Granet,Yingrui Li,Xiaodong Sun,Jun Wang,Liangfang Zhang,Yizhi Liu,Yong-Bin Yan,Kang Zhang +41 more
TL;DR: This corrects the article to show that the H2O2/H2O/O2 balance is determined by a combination of H2A and O2 values, not necessarily reflecting a direct relationship between these numbers and each other.
Journal ArticleDOI
Serum N-glycomics stratifies bacteremic patients infected with different pathogens
Sayantani Chatterjee,Rebeca Kawahara,Harry C. Tjondro,David R. Shaw,Marni A. Nenke,David J. Torpy,David J. Torpy,Morten Thaysen-Andersen +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of quantitative serum N-glycomics performed using porous graphitized carbon liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry to stratify bacteremic patients infected with Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Streptococcus viridans from healthy donors (n = 39).

Glycan analysis of human neutrophil granules implicates a maturation-dependent glycosylation machinery
Vignesh Venkatakrishnan,Regis Dieckmann,Ian Loke,Harry C. Tjondro,Sayantani Chatterjee,Johan Bylund,Morten Thaysen-Andersen,Niclas G. Karlsson,Anna Karlsson-Bengtsson,Anna Karlsson-Bengtsson +9 more
TL;DR: This comprehensive neutrophil granule glycome map, the first of its kind, highlights novel granule-specific glycosylation features and is a crucial first step towards a better understanding of the mechanisms regulating protein glycosolation during neutrophils granulopoiesis and a more detailed understanding of neutrophIL biology and function.
Posted ContentDOI
Hyper-Truncated N-Acetyl-β-D-Glucosamine Decorations Augment the Activity and Inhibition Potential of Neutrophil Granule Myeloperoxidase
Harry C. Tjondro,Julian Ugonotti,Rebeca Kawahara,Sayantani Chatterjee,Ian Loke,Siyun Chen,Fabian Soltermann,Hannes Hinneburg,Benjamin L. Parker,Vignesh Venkatakrishnan,Regis Dieckmann,Oliver C. Grant,Johan Bylund,Alison Rodger,Robert J. Woods,Weston B. Struwe,Anna Karlsson-Bengtsson,Morten Thaysen-Andersen +17 more
TL;DR: Native mass spectrometry, mass photometry, and glycopeptide profiling revealed extreme molecular complexity of dimeric nMPO arising from heterogeneous glycosylation, oxidation, chlorination and polypeptide truncation variants, and a lower-abundance monomer, providing new insight into neutrophil glycobiology.
