Journal ArticleDOI
CCL18 from Tumor-Associated Macrophages Promotes Breast Cancer Metastasis via PITPNM3
Jingqi Chen,Jingqi Chen,Yandan Yao,Chang Gong,Fengyan Yu,Shicheng Su,Jianing Chen,Bodu Liu,Hui Deng,Fengsong Wang,Ling Lin,Herui Yao,Fengxi Su,Karen S. Anderson,Qiang Liu,Qiang Liu,Mark E. Ewen,Xuebiao Yao,Erwei Song +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that breast TAMs abundantly produce CCL18, and its expression in blood or cancer stroma is associated with metastasis and reduced patient survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA methylation-mediated repression of miR-886-3p predicts poor outcome of human small cell lung cancer
Jianzhong Cao,Yongmei Song,Nan Bi,Jie Shen,Wenyang Liu,Jing Fan,Guogui Sun,Tong Tong,Jie He,Yuankai Shi,Xun Zhang,Ning Lu,Yinghua He,Hongyu Zhang,Kelong Ma,Xiaoying Luo,Lei Lv,Hui Deng,Jing Cheng,Jingde Zhu,Luhua Wang,Qimin Zhan +21 more
TL;DR: It was found that the downregulated miR-886-3p is closely correlated with the shorter survival of SCLC, and it was further discovered that loss of miR -886- 3p expression was mediated by DNA hypermethylation of its promoter in both cultured S CLC cells and tumor samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rho Kinase Phosphorylation Promotes Ezrin-Mediated Metastasis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Yong Chen,Dongmei Wang,Zhen Guo,Zhen Guo,Jun Zhao,Bing Wu,Hui Deng,Hui Deng,Ti Zhou,Hongjun Xiang,Fei Gao,Xue Yu,Jian Liao,Jian Liao,Tarsha Ward,Peng Xia,Chibuzo Emenari,Xia Ding,Winston E. Thompson,Kelong Ma,Jingde Zhu,Felix O. Aikhionbare,Kefen Dou,Shi Yuan Cheng,Xuebiao Yao +24 more
TL;DR: It is found that Thr567 hyperphosphorylation of the cytoskeletal protein ezrin was tightly correlated to an invasive phenotype of clinical hepatocellular carcinomas and to poor outcomes in tumor xenograft assays, and this findings suggest a strategy to reduce liver tumor metastasis by blocking Rho kinase-mediated phosphorylated eZrin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferroptosis of tumour neutrophils causes immune suppression in cancer
Rina Kim,Ayumi Hashimoto,Nune Markosyan,Vladimir A. Tyurin,Yulia Y. Tyurina,Gozde Kar,Shuyu Fu,Mohit Sehgal,Laura Garcia-Gerique,Andrew V. Kossenkov,Bereket Gebregziabher,John W. Tobias,Kristin C. Hicks,Rebecca Halpin,Nevena Cvetešić,Hui Deng,Laxminarasimha Donthireddy,Andrew S. Greenberg,Brian Nam,Robert H. Vonderheide,Yulia Nefedova,Valerian E. Kagan,Dmitry I. Gabrilovich +22 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomic Identification and Functional Characterization of a Novel ARF6 GTPase-activating Protein, ACAP4
Zhiyou Fang,Yong Miao,Xia Ding,Xia Ding,Hui Deng,Siqi Liu,Fengsong Wang,Fengsong Wang,Rihong Zhou,Charles Watson,Chuanhai Fu,Chuanhai Fu,Qicong Hu,James W. Lillard,Michael D. Powell,Yong Chen,John G. Forte,Xuebiao Yao,Xuebiao Yao +18 more
TL;DR: The biochemical characterization demonstrated that ACAP4 has a phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate-dependent GAP activity specific for ARF6, demonstrating the importance of ACAP2 in cell migration and shedding new light on the biological function of ARf6-mediated cell migration.
