Snoeren,Ernesto Lopez Torres,Jef Vandemeulebroucke,Nicole Walasek,Guido Zuidhof,Bram van Ginneken,Colin Jacobs +31 more
TL;DR: The LUNA16 challenge is described, an objective evaluation framework for automatic nodule detection algorithms using the largest publicly available reference database of chest CT scans, the LIDC‐IDRI data set, and the results so far are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The organization of the challenge, the data and evaluation methods and the outcome of the initial launch with 20 algorithms, which comprised the comprehensive evaluation and comparison of 20 individual algorithms from leading academic and industrial research groups are detailed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatiotemporal motion estimation for respiratory-correlated imaging of the lungs.
TL;DR: Spatiotemporal registration can provide accurate motion estimation for 4D CT and improves the robustness to artifacts and is found most suitable to account for the sudden changes of motion at this breathing phase.
Journal ArticleDOI
PCA-based groupwise image registration for quantitative MRI.
Wyke Huizinga,Dirk H. J. Poot,Dirk H. J. Poot,Jean-Marie Guyader,Remy Klaassen,Bram F. Coolen,M. van Kranenburg,R.J. Van Geuns,André Uitterdijk,Mathias Polfliet,Mathias Polfliet,Jef Vandemeulebroucke,Jef Vandemeulebroucke,Alexander Leemans,Wiro J. Niessen,Wiro J. Niessen,Stefan Klein +16 more
TL;DR: The groupwise registration method with a similarity measure based on PCA is the preferred technique for compensating misalignments in qMRI.
Journal ArticleDOI
Augmenting Microsoft's HoloLens with vuforia tracking for neuronavigation
Taylor Frantz,Taylor Frantz,Bart Jansen,Bart Jansen,Johnny Duerinck,Jef Vandemeulebroucke,Jef Vandemeulebroucke +6 more
TL;DR: This work investigates the augmentation of HoloLens with the proprietary image processing SDK Vuforia, allowing integration of data from its front-facing RGB camera to provide more spatially stable holograms for neuronavigational use.
