TL;DR: Systematic analysis of gene expression data from pSS patients discordant for fatigue identified 55 genes which are predictive of fatigue level using SVM classification, which represents the first step in understanding the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of fatigue in patients with pSS.
Journal ArticleDOI
EULAR points to consider in the development of classification and diagnostic criteria in systemic vasculitis

TL;DR: In this article, a systematic literature review was undertaken looking to address these deficiencies and produce 'points to consider' in accordance with standardised European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) operating procedures.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Findings may support using immunosuppressants for early dcSSc but suggest that overall benefit is modest over 12 months and that better treatments are needed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors for clinical coronary heart disease in systemic lupus erythematosus: the lupus and atherosclerosis evaluation of risk (LASER) study.
Sahena Haque,Caroline Gordon,David A. Isenberg,Anisur Rahman,Peter Lanyon,A. L. Bell,Paul Emery,Neil McHugh,Lee Suan Teh,David G. I. Scott,Mohamed Akil,Sophia M. Naz,Jacqueline Andrews,Bridget Griffiths,H. Harris,Hazem Youssef,John McLaren,V. Toescu,Vinodh Devakumar,Jamal Teir,Ian N. Bruce +20 more
TL;DR: The higher pre-event SDI, azathioprine exposure, and pattern of damage items (disease-related rather than therapy-related) in cases suggests that a persistent active lupus phenotype contributes to CHD risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Health-related utility values of patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome and its predictors.
Dennis Lendrem,Sheryl Mitchell,Peter McMeekin,Simon J. Bowman,Elizabeth Price,Colin T. Pease,Paul Emery,Jacqueline Andrews,Peter Lanyon,John Hunter,Monica Gupta,Michele Bombardieri,Nurhan Sutcliffe,Costantino Pitzalis,John McLaren,Annie Cooper,Marian Regan,Ian Giles,David A. TL;DR: EQ-5D utility values are significantly related to pain and depression scores in PSS, and these patients have significantly impaired utility values compared with the UK general population.
