A library of atomically thin metal chalcogenides

TL;DR: Molten-salt-assisted chemical vapour deposition is used to synthesize a wide variety of two-dimensional transition-metal chalcogenides and elaborate how the salt decreases the melting point of the reactants and facilitates the formation of intermediate products, increasing the overall reaction rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stacking-Dependent Interlayer Coupling in Trilayer MoS2 with Broken Inversion Symmetry

TL;DR: This work demonstrates that few-layer MoS2 samples grown by chemical vapor deposition with different stacking configurations exhibit distinct coupling phenomena in both photoluminescence and Raman spectra and demonstrates that the evolution of interlayer interaction with various stacking configurations correlates strongly with layer-breathing mode (LBM) vibrations.
