Role of pre-miR-532 (miR-532-5p and miR-532-3p) in regulation of gene expression and molecular pathogenesis in renal cell carcinoma.

TL;DR: This study investigated the functional significance of these miRNAs and identified gene targets involved in RCC pathogenesis and found that AQP9 expression is an independent prognostic factor for RCC patients, and siRNA-mediated knockdown of AQP 9 by si-AQP9 inhibited the malignant phenotypes of RCC cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of the full-length KIAA0591 gene encoding a novel kinesin-related protein which is mapped to the neuroblastoma suppressor gene locus at 1p36.2.

TL;DR: The full-length KIAA0591 gene may be a novel member of human KIF superfamily which lacks motor domain and might function as a tumor suppressor in an epigenetic but not a classic Knudson's manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular pathogenesis of interstitial cystitis based on microRNA expression signature: miR-320 family-regulated molecular pathways and targets.

TL;DR: Novel approaches that identify aberrantly expressed miRNA regulatory networks in IC could provide new prognostic markers and therapeutic targets for this disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation, tissue expression, and chromosomal assignment of a novel human gene which encodes a protein with RING finger motif

TL;DR: A novel gene encoding a RING finger (C3HC4-type zinc finger) protein from a human neuroblastoma full-length enriched cDNA library is identified and the chromosomal location of the gene was determined on the chromosome 6p21.3 region.
