HUman MicroNucleus Project: International database comparison for results with the cytokinesis-block micronucleus assay in human lymphocytes: I. Effect of laboratory protocol, scoring criteria, and host factors on the frequency of micronuclei
Stefano Bonassi,Michael Fenech,Cecilia Lando,Yi-ping Lin,Marcello Ceppi,Wushou P. Chang,Nina Holland,Micheline Kirsch-Volders,Errol Zeiger,Sadayuki Ban,Roberto Barale,Maria Paola Bigatti,Claudia Bolognesi,Cao Jia,Marina Di Giorgio,Lynnette R. TL;DR: The best model, which included exposure to genotoxic factors, host factors, methods, and scoring criteria, explained 75% of the total variance, with the largest contribution attributable to laboratory methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasound Driven Assembly of Lignin into Microcapsules for Storage and Delivery of Hydrophobic Molecules
Mariarosaria Tortora,Francesca Cavalieri,Pasquale Mosesso,Flavia Ciaffardini,Federica Melone,Claudia Crestini +5 more
TL;DR: In vitro studies and confocal laser scanning microscopy analysis were carried out to assess the internalization of capsules into Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, and demonstrated that the lignin microcapsules are not cytotoxic and readily incorporated in the CHO cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fernando Aguilar,Riccardo Crebelli,Birgit Dusemund,Pierre Galtier,John Gilbert,David Michael Gott,Ursula Gundert-Remy,Jürgen König,Claude Lambré,J-C Leblanc,Alicja Mortensen,Pasquale Mosesso,Dominique Parent-Massin,Ivan Stankovic,Paul Tobback,Ine Waalkens-Berendsen,Rudolf Antonius Woutersen,Matthew C. Maged Younes,Peter Aggett,Fernando Aguilar,Riccardo Crebelli,Birgit Dusemund,Metka Filipič,Maria Jose Frutos,Pierre Galtier,David Michael Gott,Ursula Gundert-Remy,Claude Lambré,Jean-Charles Leblanc,Inger Therese Lillegaard,Peter Moldeus,Alicja Mortensen,Agneta Oskarsson,Ivan Stankovic,Ine Waalkens-Berendsen,Rudolf Antonius Woutersen,Raul J Andrade,Cristina Fortes,Pasquale Mosesso,Patrizia Restani,Davide Arcella,Fabiola Pizzo,Camilla Smeraldi,Matthew Wright +26 more
TL;DR: There is evidence from interventional clinical trials that intake of doses equal or above 800 mg EGCG/day taken as a food supplement has been shown to induce a statistically significant increase of serum transaminases in treated subjects compared to control.
Journal ArticleDOI
Report from working group on in vitro tests for chromosomal aberrations.
Sheila M. Galloway,Marilyn J. Aardema,Motoi Ishidate,James L. Ivett,David Kirkland,Takeshi Morita,Pasquale Mosesso,Toshio Sofuni +7 more
TL;DR: The working group thought it inappropriate to specify the control chemicals or the degree of response that should be obtained, leaving it up to the test laboratory to demonstrate that the system was working adequately based on historical data within the laboratory.
