Overcoming the Limitations of MXene Electrodes for Solution‐Processed Optoelectronic Devices
Huanyu Zhou,Shin Jung Han,Hyeon-Dong Lee,Dan-Xia Zhang,Mark Anayee,Seung Hyeon Jo,Yury Gogotsi,Tae-Woo Lee +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a PFSA barrier layer was added to the Ti3C2Tx MXene to improve the work function and environmental stability of the PFSA-based barrier layer for organic light-emitting diodes.
Colloidal Gelation in Liquid Metals Enables Functional Nanocomposites of 2D Metal Carbides (MXenes) and Lightweight Metals
Vladislav Kamysbayev,Nicole M. James,Alexander S. Filatov,Vishwas Srivastava,Babak Anasori,Heinrich M. Jaeger,Yury Gogotsi,Dmitri V. Talapin,Dmitri V. Talapin +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a liquid metal gelation technique was used to fabricate functional nanocomposites with an up to 57% increase in specific yield strength without compromising the matrix alloy's plasticity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid Adsorption of Proinflammatory Cytokines by Graphene Nanoplatelets and Their Composites for Extracorporeal Detoxification
Yishan Zheng,Nicholas Pescatore,Yury Gogotsi,Boris Dyatkin,Boris Dyatkin,Ganesh Ingavle,Vadym Mochalin,Tochukwu Ozulumba,Sergey V. Mikhalovsky,Susan Sandeman +9 more
TL;DR: GNP were incorporated into a freestanding flexible GNP-poly(tetrafluoroethylene) film with preserved surface characteristics and cytokine adsorption profile for potential use in hemoperfusion applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Moderating cellular inflammation using 2-dimensional titanium carbide MXene and graphene variants.
Tochukwu Ozulumba,Tochukwu Ozulumba,Ganesh Ingavle,Ganesh Ingavle,Yury Gogotsi,Susan Sandeman +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared titanium carbide MXene (Ti3C2Tx) in multilayered and delaminated forms with graphene variants to assess the impact of variable physical properties on cellular inflammatory response to endotoxin stimulus and found that all nanomaterials significantly reduced bacterial endotoxin induced THP-1 monocyte IL-8, IL-6 and TNF-α cytokine production by >99, >99% and >80% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perspectives for electromagnetic radiation protection with MXenes
Meikang Han,Yury Gogotsi +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors provide a perspective on recent progress and challenges of the MXene family for protection against electromagnetic jamming, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and microwave absorption.
