TL;DR: In this paper, a general framework for forcing with coherent adequate sets on H(λ) as side conditions was developed, where λ ≥ ω2 is a cardinal of uncountable cofinality.
Abstract: We develop a general framework for forcing with coherent adequate sets on H(λ) as side conditions, where λ ≥ ω2 is a cardinal of uncountable cofinality. We describe a class of forcing posets which we call coherent adequate type forcings. The main theorem of the paper is that any coherent adequate type forcing preserves CH. We show that there exists a forcing poset for adding a club subset of ω2 with finite conditions while preserving CH, solving a problem of Friedman [Forcing with finite conditions, in Set Theory: Centre de Recerca Matematica, Barcelona, 2003–2004, Trends in Mathematics (Birkhauser-Verlag, 2006), pp. 285–295.].

TL;DR: This article argued that it is worth retaining the normative impetus of multiculturalism by returning to its roots in political philosophy, drawing on Will Kymlicka's distinction between internal restrictions and external protections as a way to assess the legitimacy of minority claims.
Abstract: Debate has grown about the legitimacy of Muslim faith schools within the British education system. At the same time, scepticism has developed towards multiculturalism as a normative approach for dealing with diversity. This article argues that it is worth retaining the normative impetus of multiculturalism by returning to its roots in political philosophy. In particular, we can draw on Will Kymlicka’s distinction between ‘internal restrictions’ and ‘external protections’ as a way to assess the legitimacy of minority claims. Having outlined this distinction, the paper applies it to the case of Muslim Schools.

TL;DR: This paper proposes a solution to the problems of register allocation and instruction scheduling and carries out an analysis of performance by comparing with the more traditional approaches for these problems and obtains profits on the speed of the generated code.
Abstract: The construction of efficient compilers is very complex, since it has to contend with various optimization problems and depends on the characteristics of the architecture of the machine for which they generate code. Many of these problems are NP-hard. The genetics algorithms have been shown to be effective in the resolution of difficult problems, however, their use in compilation is practically nonexistent. In this paper we propose a solution to the problems of register allocation and instruction scheduling. We carry out an analysis of performance by comparing with the more traditional approaches for these problems and we obtain profits on the speed of the generated code varying between -2% and 26%.

TL;DR: The Mexico 2006 Panel Study as mentioned in this paper, a multi-investigator project on Mexican voting behavior, consists of a three-wave panel survey of 2,400 Mexican adults between October 2005 and July 2006.
Abstract: This research note discusses the methods and key findings of the Mexico 2006 Panel Study, a multi-investigator project on Mexican voting behavior. This panel study consists of a three-wave panel survey of 2,400 Mexican adults between October 2005 and July 2006. It also includes an extensive content analysis of television news and advertisements. The Mexico 2006 Panel Study permits assessing the impact of events and information flows, along with post-electoral context, on the political attitudes of Mexicans. These surveys document which types of voters changed their electoral preferences during the campaign and offers a host of variables to explain why these changes occurred

TL;DR: In this article, the extent of misreporting in a poverty-alleviation program in which self-reported information, followed by a household visit, is used to determine eligibility.
Abstract: We investigate empirically the extent of misreporting in a poverty-alleviation program in which self-reported information, followed by a household visit, is used to determine eligibility. Underreporting may be due to a deception motive, and overreporting to an embarrassment motive. We find that underreporting of goods and desirable home characteristics is widespread, and that overreporting is common with respect to goods linked to social status. Larger program benefits encourage underreporting and discourage overreporting. The effect of benefits on underreporting is significant under a variety of specifications. We also investigate the effects of education and gender on misreporting.
