TL;DR: In this article, an experimental technique Taguchi was applied to optimize GTAW process parameters of AA 7075-T6 aluminium alloy welded joints for improving the mechanical properties, and the effect of heat treat on mechanical properties was also studied.
Abstract: This works mainly pertains to improvement in the mechanical properties of AA 7075-T6 aluminium alloy welds through gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process. Design of experimental technique Taguchi was applied to optimize GTAW process parameters of AA 7075-T6 aluminium alloy welded joints for improving the mechanical properties. Mathematical model was developed by Regression. Adequacy of developed model was checked by analysis of variance. The effect of heat treat on mechanical properties was also studied and an improvement in the mechanical properties was observed. Metallography of heat treated and non-heat treated welded joints correlated with the mechanical properties.

TL;DR: In this paper, feature-based digital modulation recognition is proposed for automatic modulation recognition (AMR) in software-defined radio (SDR) and cognitive radio (CR) systems.
Abstract: From Communication intelligence (COMINT) to the seamless working of 3G/4G networks, Automatic Modulation Recognition (AMR) has become prominent parts of the communication system. For Software-Defined Radio (SDR) or Cognitive Radio (CR), where seamless communication is targeted with no or minimum human intervention. Due to this, it is inevitable to have an AMR. AMR has to recognize any modulation technique both analog and digital. Most of the communications of the present era is digital, a subsection of Automatic Digital Modulation Recognition (ADMR) is derived in spite of the fact that AMR by default has to identify and state, the type of modulation, irrespective of analog or digital type of modulations used. This article presents feature-based digital modulation recognition. ASK2, ASK4, PSK2, PSK4, FSK2, and FSK4 are considered as the contenders for recognition. For classification of the incoming signal, decision tree-based approach is used. An analytic signal is built using the intercepted signal. Spectral features extracted from the analytic signal. Features are being used as a decision-making parameters. Thresholds fixation for each of parameter to make a decision is fixed by a large set of symbols as a single segment say 65,536 symbols per segment. The accuracy of 100% has been achieved even when there are symbols over 512 per segment or frame.

TL;DR: A case study has been carried out to study the technical state of art, reasons for the plant becoming non-operative, revival opportunities with justification and finally comes out with recommendations to revive on the basis of comprehensive survey conducted in the village as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The paper discusses the need of renewable energy sources. A case study has been carried out to study the technical state of art, reasons for the plant becoming non-operative, revival opportunities with justification and finally comes out with recommendations to revive on the basis of comprehensive survey conducted in the village. The case study is carried out at Nayakana Hulikatti village in Dharwad district that was developed by IEI (International Energy Initiative) in 1995–96 in co-ordination with rotary club and the plant was functional for few years. The paper also highlights the need of educating consumers to involve in power generation using locally available renewable resources for their power requirement.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a technique for the analysis of a 3$-varphi$ induction motor using d-q model approach to determine the performance of the motor under steady state condition.
Abstract: Electrical Drives are used in broad power range in various applications. Induction motors particularly squirrel cage motor operates under all operating condition and widely used. Further, for variable speed applications squirrel cage motors have been the workhouses in the industry. The performance of the motors needs to be studied before using for a given application. Theoretical and numerical analysis can be carried out from mathematical modeling of 3$-\varphi$ induction motor. This paper presents a technique for the analysis of a 3$-\varphi$ induction motor using d-q model approach. The numerical analysis method is used to determine the performance of the motor under steady state condition. Determination of behavior of induction motor through numerical methods meant to compare the results obtained by Gauss-Seidel and Successive Over-Relaxation methods. The comparison confirms the validity and accuracy of the proposed methods.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the ability of online space, as a channel to serve as an interface between organization and consumer and aid the organization in achieving its CRM goals.
Abstract: This study revolves around eCRM practices in banking sector of North Karnataka and some of the opportunities which are not keenly adopted by the banks in this region. The researcher has widely utilized the exploratory study to gain insights of the opportunities and challenges of eCRM practices in banking industry. This study focuses on the ability of online space, as a channel to serve as an interface between organization and consumer and aid the organization in achieving its CRM goals. Lastly, the study reveals that there is wide opportunity to utilise the eCRM practices for a better competitive advantage.
