TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated a CI engine fueled with polanga biodiesel for the optimum performance and emission parameters, and tried to optimize the input parameters in order to achieve the corresponding optimized engine performance.
Abstract: The excessive use of fossil fuels has caused a rapid increase in air pollution all over the world. This alarming situation demands that environment-friendly fuels and their performance must be investigated for the diesel engine. The present study investigates a CI engine fueled with polanga biodiesel for the optimum performance and emission parameters. This study also tries to optimize the input parameters in order to achieve the corresponding optimized engine performance. In the present work, various input parameters such as injection timing and an injection pressure of fuel, different percentage blends of polanga-based biodiesel, and engine load are considered for optimization. The optimized output parameters are corresponding to these input parameters namely thermal efficiency, EGT, Pmax, and UHC emissions. The experiment was conducted on the diesel engine according to the CCRD matrix design. The aforesaid engine’s input parameters are found to be optimal at 22.35°bTDC fuel injection timing, 19.27 MPa injection pressure, 23.33% mixing of polanga biodiesel with diesel, at 80% engine load. Optimized and experimental results of the engine responses at optimized engine settings are compared and found within the recommended error range.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used SPSS-19 software to identify whether on the basis of the perception and adoption it can be converted into the financial disclosure, since disclosures on human assets act as an evidence for wealth creation, it is proposes that companies should take the maximum benefits by adopting HRA.
Abstract: Human Resources are the most important assets of an organization, but due to absence of legal regulation in relation to Accounting of HR, their financial values were not disclosed in most of the company’s annual report. The main objective of this study is to analysis Indian companies and their HR practices. The perception of accounts managers and accountants working in Indian companies were taken to identify challenges faced to predict the organization’s performance. The data were collected from 100 accountants and managers from 15 Indian companies on the basis of benefits, measurement model and perception. The multiple regression method was used with SPSS-19 software to identify that whether on the basis of the perception and adoption it can be converted into the financial disclosure. Since disclosures on human assets act as an evidence for wealth creation, it is proposes that companies should take the maximum benefits by adopting HRA.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of filler materials, test temperature on the tensile properties and moisture susceptibility characteristics of bituminous concrete mix prepared using stone dust and cement as filler materials was studied.
Abstract: Pavement engineers are too much concerned about the tensile properties of bituminous mix because of the problems associated with cracking. Hence tensile strength of bituminous concrete mix is important in pavement applications. The indirect tensile strength test is used to assess the tensile properties of the bituminous mix. The present research work, essentially emphasize to study the effect of filler materials, test temperature on the tensile properties and moisture susceptibility characteristics of bituminous concrete mix prepared using stone dust and cement as filler materials. For the preparation of bituminous concrete mix specimens using stone dust and cement as filler materials, optimum bitumen content was determined by adopting Marshall method of bituminous mix design. Bituminous mix properties were determined at optimum bitumen content. Indirect tensile strength (ITS) and Tensile strength ratio (TSR) of bituminous concrete mix were evaluated by varying test temperatures at 15 °C, 20 °C, 25 °C, 30 °C and 35 °C. Prediction model for Indirect tensile strength was developed by considering the temperature, Marshall stability and optimum bitumen content as independent variable for each filler material. As the test temperature increases the ITS and TSR values of bituminous concrete mix decreases irrespective of type of filler material. Based on the analysis of data, it was observed that at any test temperature, ITS and TSR values of bituminous concrete mix prepared using cement as filler material were higher when compared to bituminous concrete mix prepared using stone dust as filler material. It may be concluded that the behavior of bituminous concrete mix prepared using cement as filler material is superior in terms of mix properties, ITS and TSR.

TL;DR: Eleven different varieties of fruits have been used as main elements for creating a texture-based image database using digital and thermal image capturing devices for studying the outer texture of the fruits.
Abstract: A business in the fruit market is totally dependent on the quality of the fruit, its physical appearance, color, shape and size. The fruit market needs fast and effective methods in identifying the worth of the fruits. The present research work employs outer texture of the fruits captured through a digital and a thermal camera. In this present work, eleven different varieties of fruits have been used as main elements for creating a texture-based image database using digital and thermal image capturing devices. The fruit is kept on the revolving tray which can be rotated from 0° to 360° and the entire system is controlled through an interface of stepper motor and the Arduino system and the images are captured from both the image capturing devices. The videos thus captured have been converted to frames for the final creation of the images database having normal RGB and thermal images for further application of image preprocessing techniques. The two image databases upon conversion to gray scale are subjected to texture-based feature extraction technique for studying the outer texture of the fruits. The eleven texture features extracted are subjected to further classification and analysis process for final demarcation of fruits being classified into infected and noninfected grades.
