TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of different parameters on the vibration and harmonic behaviour of cross-ply composite plates with anti-symmetric lamination scheme of layers were discussed and the frequency-amplitude relationships were obtained and presented on frequency response function graph.
Abstract: This work presents vibration and harmonic behaviour of cross-ply composite plates with anti-symmetric lamination scheme of layers. Convergence test and comparison studies for different parameters with respect to number of modes have been carried out using the finite element method. The finite element package ANSYS is used to determine the frequency parameter and resonance amplitude of the plate. The effects of different parameters on the vibration and harmonic behaviour, are discussed. The frequency-amplitude relationships are obtained and presented on frequency response function graph. The clamped, simply supported, free and the combinations of boundary conditions are considered. Effects of damping factor on harmonic response are also investigated.

TL;DR: Novel facts related to business forecasting in the light of machine learning classifiers have been pointed out leading to new directions in the field of research in business analytics.
Abstract: The paper focuses a non-conventional approach using Poisson and Binomial distributions for optimum strategic business forecasting. An analysis has been carried out based on profit-loss statistics of consecutive ten years. Relevance of Poisson distribution in business forecasting is shown. Relevance of Binomial distribution in business forecasting is also shown. Curve fitting has been applied to reveal further some discovered facts related to gain analysis. Linear Regression, Exponential, Parabolic, Power function, Logarithmic, polynomial of degree 2 and 4 curves are shown as cases. Novel facts related to business forecasting in the light of machine learning classifiers have been pointed out leading to new directions in the field of research in business analytics.

TL;DR: A new approach which applies a compound Poisson process to sense and analyze business cost in areas such as product revalidation and campaign predictions is presented.
Abstract: The standard prediction methods cannot be used to model the events which occur at irregular time intervals. This paper presents a new approach which applies a compound Poisson process to sense and analyze business cost in areas such as product revalidation and campaign predictions. The paper also highlighted how the process can be used to predict campaign donations.

TL;DR: In this paper, an effort is made to identify the key challenges faced by beneficiaries of the railway project (underpass) in Jaipur by employing a questionnaire survey post-construction.
Abstract: The construction industry in India is the second largest industry after agriculture which plays a vital role in the economic and social growth of the nation. Traditionally, a construction project engages various participants such as clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders with distinct outlook and returns, but they all work collectively to achieve project objectives. There are benefits and challenges associated with every construction project which are unique. Several studies have been conducted in the past to identify challenges and measure benefits through the beneficiary’s survey. In this study, an effort is made to identify the key challenges faced by beneficiaries of the railway project (underpass) in Jaipur by employing a questionnaire survey post-construction. The questionnaire survey was conducted to gauge their response and identify the major challenges. The examinee (respondents) are requested to provide their feedback on a 5-point scale (Likert) where 1 record disagree (strongly) response and 5 records agree (strongly) response. A total of 383 respondents recorded their responses in this survey between May and June 2018. Out of which 357 entries were found to be fit, and remaining entries were discarded due to inadequacy. The analysis (statistical) of the data was achieved by SPSS software. The result outlined the challenges such as water logging problem during the rainy season, unsuitable for big size vehicles, loss of agricultural land, and obstruction to the animal movement that are faced by beneficiaries.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors did a comparative assessment of consumer perception regarding selecting sports brands using Netnography and Text Mining from data being mined from online communities using data collected from e-commerce sites, blogs and various social media platforms.
Abstract: Sportswear industry in recent times has become pretty much prominent and the sports wears have become common in all age group people as it helps them in a comfortable stylish living and greater adaptability. Due to the increase in the demand of Sport wears, bigger manufacturing companies like adidas, Puma, Nike, Fila and Reebok have expanded their business and online sales specifically in India. The current research study collects and does assessment of user experiences, reviews or comments from e-commerce sites, blogs and various social media platforms. Also, the study compares four brand analysis parameters (BAP) namely Brand Name, Product Quality, Service Quality and Mobile App/Website with respect to five sports brands which includes adidas, Nike, Puma, Reebok and Fila. On the basis of consumer’s reviews and comments, data accumulation was done and further the mined data from various platforms was divided into positive and negative comments. Using statistical approach the data was distributed among postive and negative comments with respect to four mentioned brand analysis parameters of each sports brand. Once segregation was done, research was carried forward and final comparison was done on all five sports brands with respect to each BAP. The research did the comparative assessment of consumer perception regarding selecting sports brands using Netnography and Text Mining from data being mined from online communities.
