Evaluación del Desempeño de Aisladores Eléctricos de Distribución Cerámicos y Poliméricos bajo Biocontaminación por Hongos

Abstract: espanolEste articulo presenta un estudio sobre el desempeno electrico de aisladores ceramicos (ANSI 52-1, ANSI 55-2) y polimericos (ANSI 4S-15) usados en sistemas electricos de media tension (entre 7kV y 35 kV) ante el crecimiento de los hongos Phanerochaete chrysosporium y Penicillium Sp. en su superficie. La contaminacion biologica de aisladores electricos es una problematica que ha sido reportada en areas tropicales de Europa, Asia y Oceania y puede reducir la confiabilidad de los sistemas electricos de potencia. La biocontaminacion se realizo en Bogota, Colombia durante 50 dias consecutivos (para cada microorganismo) usando una camara que controla la luz, la humedad y la temperatura. 4urante la investigacion se realizaron pruebas de tension de flameo y corrientes de fuga. Despues de la biocontaminacion se reportaron reducciones en las tensiones de flameo de 21% y 8% para aisladores ceramicos y polimericos, respectivamente. En todos los casos, las corrientes de fuga aumentaron por encima del 20%. EnglishThis paper presents a study on the electrical performance of ceramic (ANSI 52-1, ANSI 55-2) and polymeric (ANSI 4S-15) insulators used in medium voltage electrical systems (between 7kV y 35 kV) when fungi growth of Phanerochaete chrysosporium and Penicillium Sp. on their surface is presented. Biological contamination of electrical insulators is a problem that has been reported in tropical areas in Europe, Asia and Oceania and it may reduce the reliability of electric power systems. The biocontamination was conducted in Bogota, Colombia for 50 consecutive days (for each microorganism) using a chamber that controls light, moisture and temperature. Laboratory tests of flashover voltages and leakage currents were performed. After fungus biocontamination reductions in flashover voltages about 21% and 8% were reported for ceramic and polymeric insulators, respectively. In all cases, the leakage currents increased by 20% or higher.

Asociación entre la razón Tg/HDL y la Enfermedad Renal Crónica en una cohorte colombiana

Abstract: Introduccion: La Enfermedad Renal Cronica (ERC) supone un fuerte impacto en la salud publica mundial. Esto es debido al elevado riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular que presentan quienes la padecen. La razon trigliceridos/lipoproteina de alta densidad se ha asociado con el desarrollo y progresion de la enfermedad renal. Objetivo:Estimar la asociacion entre la razon trigliceridos/lipoproteina de alta densidad y la incidencia de enfermedad renal en una cohorte colombiana. Metodologia: Estudio de cohorte prospectiva del seguimiento de INEFAC 2007-2017, con 1626 participantes. Para determinar la exposicion principal se tomo como punto de corte >3,75 en la razon. Los casos se definieron con una tasa de filtracion glomerular estimada <60ml/min/1,73m2 o con diagnostico medicoprevio. Se ajustaron modelos de regresion lineal y log-binomial para los cambios en la tasa estimada y la incidencia de enfermedad renal cronica. Como covariables: edad, sexo, raza, alcohol, cigarrillo, circunferencia de cintura y actividad fisica. Resultados: La incidencia de enfermedad renal fue de 0,4% (IC 95% 0,1-0,8), el promedio de la tasa estimada de 94,3 ml/min/1,73m2. La asociacion entre la razon trigliceridos/lipoproteina de alta densidad y la enfermedad renal cronica no fue estadisticamente significativa en el modelo crudo (RR= 2,3; IC 95%: 0,5-9,4) ni en el ajustado por confusores (RR= 1,1; IC 95%: 0,2–5,6). Conclusion: A partir del modelo multiple no fue posible determinar la asociacion, probablemente porque esta no existe en la poblacion estudiada o porque se requiere una alta muestra debido al bajo numero de eventos encontrados

Effects of chemotherapy on the musculoskeletal system in children and adolescents with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Abstract: The purpose of this review is to determine the impact of chemotherapy on the musculoskeletal system in children and adolescents with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Relevant studies were identified in the databases PubMed, LILACS, Elsevier and ScieLO, combining the following search terms: lymphoblastic leukemia, children, osteonecrosis and late effects. Thirtythree articles published between 2002 and 2012 were considered. More available literature was found on complications in the administration of corticosteroids, being osteonecrosis the main consequence of chemotherapy on the musculoskeletal system.

Abstract: Research on attentional processes and their relationship to the maturation of locomotor patterns involved in the use of some types of video games. For this reason, the aim of this study is to identify the influence of the practice of virtual reality games in attentional processes related to the jump motor pattern in children of 5 years. The research was conducted by a quantitative study design using SPSS crosstabulation longitudinal observational period with a pre-test, post-test and a control group. There are few studies on the effect of virtual reality games in the development of locomotor patterns, the study is consistent with research that finds positive effects of this type of games in learning motor activities. Crisis en la legitimidad del Estado, del derecho y de la democracia liberal

Abstract: This article identifies the elements and components of the crisis that affects the legitimacy of the state, the law and liberal democracy. In this regard, several paradigms are described that have demonstrated their inability to meet the legitimacy demands of contemporary society. These paradigms have been shown to be inadequate mechanisms for regulating the democratic systems and basic functions of the liberal state of law. Thus, these paradigms have become ineffective, illegitimate and often unfair. The article describes the legal and political processes that lead to a crisis of law as a result of a crisis of the rationality of law under objective conditions. These processes are characterized by the failure of the old form of rationality at meeting the needs of modern society or the lack of faith in society’s ability to resolve conflicts.
