Abstract
a b s t r a c t The ab initio quasirelativistic Hartree–Fock method developed specifically for the calculation of spectral parameters of heavy atoms and highly charged ions is used to derive transition data for a multicharged tungsten ion. The configuration interaction method is applied to include electron correlation effects. The relativistic effects are taken into account in the Breit–Pauli approximation for quasirelativistic Hartree–Fock radial orbitals. The energy level spectra, radiative lifetimes and Lande gfactors are calculated for the 4p 6 4d 2 , 4p 6 4d4f, and 4p 5 4d 3 configurations of the ion W 36+ . The transition wavelengths, spontaneous transition probabilities, oscillator strengths, and line strengths for the electric dipole, electric quadrupole, electric octupole, and magnetic dipole transitions among the levels of these configurations are tabulated.

Dark Matter Detectors as Dark Photon Helioscopes

TL;DR: This work analyzes the new "dark" vector state V, a massive vector boson mixed with the photon via an angle κ, that in the limit of the small mass mV has its emission spectrum strongly peaked at low energies, and sets the limit on the parameters of this model: κ×mV<3×10(-12) eV.

Migdal Effect in Dark Matter Direct Detection Experiments

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reformulate the Migdal's approach so that the "atomic recoil" cross section is obtained coherently, where they make transparent the energy-momentum conservation and the probability conservation.

Raytracing with MARX: x-ray observatory design, calibration, and support

TL;DR: The MARX ray-trace program was originally developed to simulate event data from the trans-mission grating spectrometers on-board the Chandra X-ray Observatory (CXO) as mentioned in this paper.

Nuclear fission: a review of experimental advances and phenomenology.

TL;DR: This work first of all reviews the recent developments in experimental fission techniques, in particular the resurgence of transfer-induced fission reactions with light and heavy ions, the emerging use of inverse-kinematic approaches, both at Coulomb and relativistic energies, and of fission studies with radioactive beams.

The theory of atomic structure and spectra

TL;DR: In this article, the Slater-Condon theory of atomic structure and spectra is combined with a coherent set of closed-form equations suitable both for computer calculations on cases of arbitrary complexity and for hand calculations for very simple cases.
