The effect of climatic environment and relocating and mixing on health status and productivity of pigs

TL;DR: In this article, two similar style experiments were carried out in a climate-controlled pig house to determine the effects of adverse climatic conditions and relocating and mixing on the health status and productivity of pigs.

The production of pneumonia with or without pleurisy in gnotobiotic piglets with pure cultures of strain TR 32 of Mycoplasma hyorhinis.

TL;DR: Nine gnotobiotic piglets, when 8-9 days old, were exposed to an aerosol of strain TR32 of Mycoplasma hyorhinis and killed at intervals from 14 to 37 days after infection, causing bronchopneumonia in 1 pig, pleurisy alone in 2 pigs, pleuropneumonia and no lung changes in 4 pigs.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The pathological and haematological findings demonstrated that E. rhusiopathiae induced disseminated intravascular coagulation in the chickens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic Diversity of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae Assessed by Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism Analysis

TL;DR: Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was evaluated as a method for genotypic characterization and subtyping within the bacterial species Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and was found to achieve a degree of separation among isolates superior to that obtained by PFGE.
Journal ArticleDOI
