Supercontinuum generation by co-filamentation of two color femtosecond laser pulses.
Mikas Vengris,N. Garejev,Gintaras Tamošauskas,A. Čepėnas,L. Rimkus,Arūnas Varanavičius,Vytautas Jukna,Audrius Dubietis +7 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that the observed non-trivial spectral dynamics can be interpreted by a mechanism, where co-propagating two pump pulses perturb the nonlinear refractive properties of the medium via Kerr effect and generation of free electron plasma thereby affecting pulse splitting and pulse front steepening, which are the key players in the process of supercontinuum generation in a normally dispersive medium.

Mechanisms of femtosecond laser-cornea interaction in keratoplasty
TL;DR: In this article, the femtosecond laser-tissue interaction was studied in order to define optimal conditions for performing keratoplasty of pathological corneas by femto-cond laser, which was performed at the Laboratoire d'Optique Appliquee (Ecole Polytechnique, ENSTA, CNRS in Palaiseau).

Compression of high-energy ultrashort laser pulses through an argon-filled tapered planar waveguide
Shihua Chen,Amélie Jarnac,Aurélien Houard,Yi Liu,Cord L. Arnold,Bing Zhou,Benjamin Forestier,Bernard Prade,André Mysyrowicz +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a hollow tapered planar waveguide was proposed for compression of high-energy ultrashort laser pulses, which is shown to find a very good trade-off among the energy throughput, the beam focusability, and the pulse compressibility.

Plasma perspective on strong field multiphoton ionization.
TL;DR: During strong-field multiphoton ionization, a wave packet is formed each time the laser field passes its maximum value, and one important parameter which determines the strength of these effects is the rate at which the wave packet spreads in the direction perpendicular to the laser electric field.
