Few-cycle optical pulse production from collimated femtosecond laser beam filamentation
D. S. Uryupina,M. V. Kurilova,Anna Mazhorova,Nikolay Panov,Roman V Volkov,Stepan Gorgutsa,Olga G. Kosareva,Andrei B Savel'ev,See Leang Chin +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a scheme for stable shot-to-shot few-cycle pulse production has been realized by launching an initially collimated laser beam into a gas tube, and the optimum parameters for the sevenfold compression of 55 fs, 5 mJ, Ti:Sapphire laser pulses are the following: 0.8-0.9 atm argon gas pressure and registration aperture with a diameter of 300-700 μm.

Pulse shortening, spatial mode cleaning, and intense terahertz generation by filamentation in xenon
TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed a comprehensive study of filamentation in xenon and found that due to its high nonlinear refraction index, but relatively low ionization potential, xenon can support filamentation at peak powers lower than in air.

High-order harmonic generation during different overlaps of two-colored pulses in laser-produced plasmas and gases
Rashid A. Ganeev,Rashid A. Ganeev,Ganjaboy S. Boltaev,Sergey Yu. Stremoukhov,Sergey Yu. Stremoukhov,Vyacheslav V. Kim,Anatoly V. Andreev,Ali S. Alnaser +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a two-color pump (TCP, 806 nm + 403 nm and 1030 nm + 515 nm) was used to enhance odd-order harmonics, as well as the generation of strong even harmonics.

Robust authentication through stochastic femtosecond laser filament induced scattering surfaces
TL;DR: In this article, a femtosecond laser filament induced scattering surfaces are used for authentication in the context of optical circuits. But the authors focus on the authentication of optical devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical spatial solitons and modulation instabilities in transparent entangled polymer solutions
TL;DR: Fully transparent nondilute polydiene solutions exhibit optical nonlinearities when irradiated by a low-power cw laser in the visible when the origin of the nonlinearity remains elusive.

Plasma perspective on strong field multiphoton ionization.
TL;DR: During strong-field multiphoton ionization, a wave packet is formed each time the laser field passes its maximum value, and one important parameter which determines the strength of these effects is the rate at which the wave packet spreads in the direction perpendicular to the laser electric field.

The Principles of Nonlinear Optics
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a general description of wave propagation in nonlinear media, including high-resolution nonlinear optical spectroscopy, and four-wave mixing and mixing.
