3D-Continuum Numerical Analysis of Offshore Driven Pipe Pile Using Finite Difference Method

TL;DR: In this paper, the results from three-dimensional analysis of offshore driven pipe piles using FLAC3D (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua in three dimensions) program were presented.
Journal Article

Soil Structure Interaction Effect on High Rise andLow Rise Buildings

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of supporting soil on the response of buildings was analyzed and a low-rise (G+ 5 storey) and a high-rise building with and without consideration of soil structure interaction effect was compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

The performance of laterally loaded piles in layered sandy soils under variable degree of saturation

TL;DR: In this article , the capacity of a single laterally loaded pile in single and multi-layered sandy soils under dry, unsaturated and saturated conditions for a wide range of void ratios was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Field tests on drilled shafts made with coal combustion by-products based concrete composites

TL;DR: In this article, a field study involving testing of small diameter drilled shafts was completed to investigate the use of coal combustion by-products in the construction of drilled shaft foundations, and the results of extensive laboratory investigation, two concrete composites and an equivalent conventional concrete were used to construct 330 mm diameter and 7.6 m long drilled shaft.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictability of the international geotechnical code for the estimating ultimate bearing capacity of large-diameter bored piles

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative study of the predictability of estimating the ultimate pile capacity between widely accepted international design codes of pile foundations, including the: Japan Road Association code (JPA, 2002), DIN 4014 (1990), Egyptian geotechnical design code-Part 4 (2001), and AASHTO (2007), is presented.
