Open Questions in Quarkonium and Electromagnetic Probes

TL;DR: In this article, the authors expose some of the points reported in that talk, having in mind the most important of all the open questions: do we have, today, from experimental data on electromagnetic probes and quarkonium production, convincing evidence that shows, beyond reasonable doubt, the existence of new physics in high-energy heavy-ion collisions?
Journal ArticleDOI

Probing light dark scalars with future experiments

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate a dark sector containing a pair of light non-degenerate scalar particles, with masses in the MeV-GeV range, coupled to the visibile sector through heavier mediators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Semileptonic decays of charmed and beauty baryons with heavy sterile neutrinos in the final state

TL;DR: In this article, tree-level estimates of various differential branching ratios of heavy baryon decays with massive sterile neutrinos were obtained in the final state, and it was shown that at high energies beauty baryons give contribution to neutrino production comparable to the contribution of beauty mesons (up to about 15%).

CORSIKA implementation of heavy quark production and propagation in extensive air showers

TL;DR: This paper shows how two different models for heavy quark production in proton–air collisions have been implemented as new options available in CORSIKA, one of the most used EAS simulators.
DissertationDOI

Λc+ baryon production measurements with the ALICE experiment at the LHC

J Norman
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the production of the charmed baryon Λc+ in high-energy particle collisions with the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider.

Review of particle properties.

K. Hagiwara, +142 more
- 01 Aug 1994 -
TL;DR: This biennial Review summarizes much of Particle Physics using data from previous editions, plus 2205 new measurements from 667 papers, and features expanded coverage of CP violation in B mesons and of neutrino oscillations.
Journal ArticleDOI

New generation of parton distributions with uncertainties from global QCD analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a new generation of parton distribution functions with increased precision and quantitative estimates of uncertainties is presented, using a recently developed eigenvector-basis approach to the hessian method, which provides the means to quickly estimate the uncertainties of a wide range of physical processes at these high-energy hadron colliders, based on current knowledge of the parton distributions.

Semen Eidelman, +155 more
- 01 Jun 2004 -
TL;DR: The Particle Data Group's biennial review as discussed by the authors summarizes much of Particle Physics using data from previous editions plus new measurements from papers, and evaluate and average measured properties of gauge bosons leptons quarks mesons and baryons.

Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (in "The Review of Particle Properties" 2004)

Brian D. Fields, +1 more
- 29 Jun 2004 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a critical review of the current status of cosmological nucleosynthesis is given, where the baryon-to-photon ratio, ε, corresponding to the inferred primordial abundances of helium-4 and lithium-7 is presently 2σ below the value implied by the abundance of deuterium.

Review of particle physics. Particle Data Group

TL;DR: The Particle Data Group's biennial review as mentioned in this paper summarizes much of Particle Physics, using data from previous editions, plus 1600 new measurements from 550 papers, and lists, evaluates and average measured properties of gauge bosons, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons.
