Growth, characterisation and surface cleaning procedures for high-purity tungsten single crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, high-purity tungsten (W) single crystals were prepared by the electron-beam floating zone melting technique and the structural quality of these crystals was subsequently improved by the application of a strain-annealing technique.

Remote Energetic Neutral Atom Imaging of Electric Potential Over a Lunar Magnetic Anomaly

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate a remote imaging technique of electric potential mapping at the lunar surface, making use of a new concept involving hydrogen neutral atoms derived from solar wind, and apply the technique to a lunar magnetized region using an existing dataset of the neutral atom energy spectrometer SARA/CENA on Chandrayaan-1.

Structure of Vanadium Oxide (V2O3) Grown on Cu3Au(100)

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface structure of V2O3(0001) was investigated and the full vanadium layer stabilized by one third of an oxygen layer located in pseudo bridge positions close to regular oxygen positions of a next layer.

Application of low energy ion scattering to oxidic surfaces

TL;DR: In this article, a low-energy ion scattering (LEIS) method was used for the determination of the atomic composition and structure of oxide surfaces, and the results showed that the equilibrium surfaces of these oxides are dominated by only one or two crystallographic planes.

A Monte Carlo computer program for the transport of energetic ions in amorphous targets

TL;DR: In this article, a Monte Carlo computer program was developed for determining ion range and damage distributions as well as angular and energy distributions of backscattered and transmitted ions in amorphous targets.

The theory of atomic collisions

TL;DR: The perturbation theory has been applied to many-body problems and applications, such as electron collisions with atoms, collisions between atomic systems, nuclear collisions, and certain aspects of two-body systems under relativistic collisions.
