Epitaxial growth of bcc Fe films on Al(1 0 0) surfaces using Ti as an interface stabilizer

TL;DR: In this article, an approach is described to promote epitaxial growth of thin metal films on single-crystal metal substrates by stabilizing the interface with an extremely thin metallic interlayer.

Influence of screening length modification on the scattering cross section in LEIS

TL;DR: In this article, the Thomas-Fermi-Moliere model was used to tune the potential strength of the screening length of He+ ions in the energy range of 100 eV to 100 keV for Al, Cu and Au target atoms.

Temperature-Dependent In-Situ LEIS Measurement of W Surface Enrichment by 250 eV D Sputtering of EUROFER

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface enrichment of EUROFER steel by 250 eV deuterium sputtering is in-situ measured using low energy He$^{+}$ ion scattering spectroscopy.

Transmission of low-energy (<10 eV)O+ ions through Au films on TiO2(110)

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the transmission of O+ ions through discontinuous Au films adsorbed on TiO2(110) substrate and found that for high coverages (≥30% Au covered substrate) the O+ signal decreases at a faster rate than the TiO 2 open area fraction.

Molecular dynamics simulations of ion impact on a supported rhodium cluster

TL;DR: In this paper, molecular dynamics simulations are used to study the damage formation in a rhodium cluster containing 147 atoms after the impact of He, Ne and Ar ions of 0.5-5 keV.

The theory of atomic collisions

TL;DR: The perturbation theory has been applied to many-body problems and applications, such as electron collisions with atoms, collisions between atomic systems, nuclear collisions, and certain aspects of two-body systems under relativistic collisions.
