Synthesis of 3D hierarchical porous iron oxides for adsorption of Congo red from dye wastewater

TL;DR: In this article, 3D hierarchical porous iron oxides were prepared by a precursor thermal conversion method and their adsorption properties for Congo red were reported, and the effect of experimental parameters including polymer concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time and heat treatment atmosphere were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication of contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging from polymer-brush-afforded iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles prepared by surface-initiated living radical polymerization.

TL;DR: It was found that some hybrid particles exhibited an excellently prolonged circulation lifetime in the blood with a half-life of about 24 h, and preferentially accumulated in the tumor tissues owing to the so-called enhanced permeability and retention effect.

Monodisperse FePt Nanoparticles and Ferromagnetic FePt Nanocrystal Superlattices

TL;DR: Thermal annealing converts the internal particle structure from a chemically disordered face- centered cubic phase to the chemically ordered face-centered tetragonal phase and transforms the nanoparticle superlattices into ferromagnetic nanocrystal assemblies that can support high-density magnetization reversal transitions.
