TLDR
In this paper, the ozone depletion potential-weighted anthropogenic emissions of N2O with those of other ozone-depleting substances were compared, and it was shown that N 2O emission currently is the single most important ozone-destroying emission and is expected to remain the largest throughout the 21st century.Abstract:
By comparing the ozone depletion potential-weighted anthropogenic emissions of N2O with those of other ozone-depleting substances, we show that N2O emission currently is the single most important ozone-depleting emission and is expected to remain the largest throughout the 21st century. N2O is unregulated by the Montreal Protocol. Limiting future N2O emissions would enhance the recovery of the ozone layer from its depleted state and would also reduce the anthropogenic forcing of the climate system, representing a win-win for both ozone and climate.read more

Anaerobic soil disinfestation impact on soil nutrients dynamics and nitrous oxide emissions in fresh-market tomato
Francesco Di Gioia,Monica Ozores-Hampton,Xin Zhao,John E. Thomas,Patrick C. Wilson,Zhuona Li,Jason C. Hong,Joseph P. Albano,Marilyn E. Swisher,Erin N. Rosskopf +9 more
TL;DR: Anaerobic soil disinfestation (ASD) is proposed as a pre-plant, non-chemical soil disfestation technique to control several soilborne phytosanitary issues as discussed by the authors.

Inoculation with N2-generating denitrifier strains mitigates N2O emission from agricultural soil fertilized with poultry manure
Tomoyasu Nishizawa,Tomoyasu Nishizawa,Aihua Quan,Ayaaki Kai,Kanako Tago,Satoshi Ishii,Weishou Shen,Kazuo Isobe,Shigeto Otsuka,Keishi Senoo +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used microbial technology to mitigate N2O emission from agricultural soil fertilized with pelleted poultry manure, which is recommended for use with agricultural soil as a replacement for chemical fertilizers; however, application of the manure stimulates nitrous oxide (N2O) emission from the soil through denitrification.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed 31 chemistry climate model simulations performed for the Chemistry Climate Model Initiative (CCMI) for varying periods with start dates from 1995 to 2001 and the end dates from 2013 to 2019 and found that all models developed a positive ozone trend at mid-latitudes, and the trends converge to constant values by the spanning 1998-2060.

Minimizing nitrous oxide in biological nutrient removal from municipal wastewater by controlling copper ion concentrations
TL;DR: According to this study, the supplement of influent Cu2+ to a concentration of 10–100 μg/L is beneficial to reduce N2O emission and improve nitrogen removal when sludge concentration in the BNR system is around 3,200 mg/L.
