Influence of trapping–detrapping processes on shot noise in nondegenerate quasi-ballistic transport
TL;DR: In this paper, a microscopic analysis of current fluctuations in semiconductor structures under non-degenerate quasi-ballistic transport conditions, in the presence of generation-recombination processes with electron traps, is presented, which introduces positive correlations between the carriers contributing to the current and leads to a shot-noise level systematically higher than that found in the purely ballistic case.

Low-noise large-bandwidth transimpedance amplifier for measuring scanning tunneling shot noise spectra in cryogenic STM and its applications.
TL;DR: In this article , a transimpedance amplifier for a CryoSTM is proposed to meet the requirements of the shot noise measurements for quantum systems, where the preamplifier is made of the low-noise low-power cryogenic high electron mobility transistors.

A high-Q floating active inductor using 130 nm BiCMOS technology and its application in IF band pass filter
TL;DR: In this paper, a new design of floating type active inductor based on gyrator-C topology using MOSFETs and npn SiGe HBTs has been proposed and results are compared.
Journal ArticleDOI
Noise in strained Si MOSFETs for low-power applications
TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical study of the thermal noise in strained n-channel Si/SiGe MOSFETs (metaloxide-semiconductor field effect transistors) is presented.

Sub-Shot-Noise Light Sources: A Quiet Revolution in Light Control
TL;DR: A review of current research trends in the control and measurement of the statistical properties of light is given in this paper, which is limited to squeezing, sub-Poisson light, and methods for measuring properties of the resulting stabilized light.
