Theoretical study of the structures and nonlinear optical properties of hydrogen-bonded nitroaniline systems
TL;DR: In this article, the first-, second-, and third-order polarizabilities for the linear hydrogen-bonded p-nitroaniline systems 1a-5a and related systems 2b-5b are calculated by the use of ab initio and PM3 semiempirical methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermally induced optical bistability in a new polymeric blend at room temperature
TL;DR: The transition from the transmission to the reflection regime for an Ar+-laser beam propagating in the new polymeric blend PMMA-EVA at a nonlinear interface has been observed in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
A study on structural, microhardness, dielectric and antimicrobial properties of TSMnAc crystal
Geetha Palani,V. Chithambaram +1 more
TL;DR: A burst forthsemi-organic material Thiosemicarbazide Manganous Acetate (TSMnAc) has been grown by slow evaporation method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-Linear Optical Properties of Substituted Hexatriene: AM1 and ab Initio Quantum Chemical Calculations
TL;DR: In this paper, the dipole polarizabilities and static hyperpolarizabilities for a set of substituted hexatriene in which electron donating (D) and electron accepting (A) groups were introduced either end parts of the hexatrienes chain NO2-(CH=CH)3-D. Geometries of all molecules were optimized at the Hartree-Fock HF/6-311++G(2d,p) level of theory.
Effect of Twist Angle on Calculated Second Order Non Linear Responses of Novel Charge Transfer Molecular Systems
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of twist angle (1234) on the static hyperpolarizability of molecules with large optical nonlinearities has been investigated, showing that these classes of organic compounds have potential applications in the development of non linear optical materials.
