Mutagenic Insertion and Chromosome Engineering Resource (MICER)
David J. Adams,Patrick J. Biggs,Tony Cox,Robert L. Davies,Louise van der Weyden,J Jonkers,J Jonkers,James Smith,Bob Plumb,Ruth Taylor,Ichiko Nishijima,Yuejin Yu,Jane Rogers,Allan Bradley +13 more
TL;DR: These indexed vectors constitute a public resource (Mutagenic Insertion and Chromosome Engineering Resource; MICER) for high-throughput, targeted manipulation of the mouse genome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Normal Germ Line Establishment in Mice Carrying a Deletion of the Ifitm/Fragilis Gene Family Cluster
Ulrike C. Lange,David J. Adams,Caroline Lee,Sheila C. Barton,Robert Schneider,Allan Bradley,M. Azim Surani +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the mutations generated by targeted chromosome engineering have no detectable effects on development of the germ line or on the generation of live young, suggesting that Ifitm genes are not essential for PGC migration.
Journal ArticleDOI
A genome-wide, end-sequenced 129Sv BAC library resource for targeting vector construction
David J. Adams,Michael A. Quail,Tony Cox,Louise van der Weyden,Barbara D. Gorick,Qin Su,Wei In Chan,Robert L. Davies,James K. Bonfield,Frances Law,Sean Humphray,Bob Plumb,Pentao Liu,Jane Rogers,Allan Bradley +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that targeting vectors containing DNA recombineered from this BAC library can be used to target genes efficiently in several 129-derived ES cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chromosomal mobilization and reintegration of Sleeping Beauty and PiggyBac transposons.
TL;DR: Compared with Sleeping Beauty, PiggyBac exhibits higher transposition efficiencies, no evidence for local hopping and a significant bias toward reintegration in intragenic regions, which demonstrate its utility for insertional mutagenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA sequence of human chromosome 17 and analysis of rearrangement in the human lineage
Michael C. Zody,Manuel Garber,David J. Adams,Ted Sharpe,Jennifer Harrow,James R. Lupski,Christine Nicholson,S. Searle,Laurens G. Wilming,Sarah Young,Amr Abouelleil,Nicole R. Allen,Weimin Bi,Toby Bloom,Mark L. Borowsky,Boris Bugalter,Jonathan Butler,Jean L. Chang,Chao-Kung Chen,April Cook,Benjamin Corum,Christina A. Whittaker,Charles A. Whittaker,Xiaoping Yang,Andrew Zimmer,Allan Bradley,Tim Hubbard,Bruce W. Birren,Jane Rogers,Eric S. Lander,Chad Nusbaum +76 more
TL;DR: Examination of the main classes of duplicated segments provides insight into the dynamics underlying expansion of chromosome-specific, low-copy repeats in the human genome.
