Inhibition of antibodies to CD3 surface antigen and phytohemagglutinin-mediated T cellular responses by inhibiting Ca2+/phospholipid-dependent protein kinase activity with the aid of 1-(5-isoquinolinylsulfonyl)-2-methylpiperazine dihydrochloride.

TL;DR: The importance of C-kinase was substantiated by the ability of 1-isoquinolinylsulfonyl)-2-methylpiperazine dihydrochloride (H7), a potent inhibitor of this enzyme, to interfere with IL-2 receptor expression and cellular [methyl-3H]thymidine uptake during primary activation.
Journal Article

Primary Human CD4+ T Cells Contain Heterogeneous IκB Kinase Complexes: Role in Activation of the IL-2 Promoter

TL;DR: The presence of an IKK beta-mediated signaling pathway that is activated by TCR and CD28 coligation and regulates IL-2 promoter activity is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Accurate quantitation of native Gc in serum and estimation of endogenous Gc: G-actin complexes by rocket immunoelectrophoresis.

TL;DR: The results show that rocket immunoelectrophoresis can be modified to provide accurate Gc levels, and also information concerning different molecular forms of this protein.

Cationic polymer coated mesoporous silica nanoparticles and uses thereof

TL;DR: In this paper, a submicron structure with a silica body defining a plurality of pores is described, where an oligonucleotide and a therapeutic agent are used to deliver the therapeutic agent to a cell.
