TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive multi-omic blood atlas was presented in patients with varying COVID-19 severity and compare with influenza, sepsis and healthy volunteers, identifying immune signatures and correlates of host response.
Journal ArticleDOI
Innate Lymphocyte Mechanisms in Skin Diseases
TL;DR: Advances in understanding of innate lymphocyte biology are reviewed with a focus on skin disease and the roles of commensal and pathogen responses and tissue homeostasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resistance to apoptosis underpins the corticosteroid insensitivity of group 2 innate lymphoid cells.
Jian Luo,Yanqiu Wu,Rahul Shrimanker,Simei Go,Yuan Ye,Clare S. Hardman,Janina Nahler,Chen Y-L.,Linda Stöger,N Zeng,W Liu,L Reed,Aviva M. Tolkovsky,Paul Klenerman,Graham S. Ogg,Ian D. Pavord,Luzheng Xue +16 more
TL;DR: Out of all type-2 immune cells, only ILC2s withstand corticosteroid treatment due to a reduced pro-apoptotic machinery, and the findings may advance the understanding on the mechanism in steroid-resistant diseases and facilitate the development of improved therapies.
