Related Myeloablative Stem Cell Transplantation (SCT) to Cure Sickle Cell Anemia (SCA): Update of French Results
Françoise Bernaudin,Marie Robin,Christèle Ferry,Karima Yacouben,Jean-Hugues Dalle,Régis Peffault de Latour,Yves Bertrand,Corinne Pondarré,Mathieu Kuentz,Jean-Pierre Vannier,Alain Fischer,Isabelle Thuret,Patrick Lutz,Pierre Bordigoni,Pierre Rohrlich,Jean-Louis Stephan,Nathalie Dhedin,Jean Paul Vernant,Jean-Yves Cahn,François Demeocq,Bernard Rio,Dominique Bories,Eliane Gluckman,Gérard Socié +23 more
TL;DR: Results with 121 patients transplanted since 2000 confirm that it is possible to offer more than 95% chances of cure to SCA-children, indicating that HLA-geno-identical HSCT after myeloablative conditioning with ATG should be considered as standard of care for SCA children.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endothelial and Circulating Progenitor Cells in Hematological Diseases and Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Annalisa Ruggeri,Annalisa Paviglianiti,Fernanda Volt,Chantal Kenzey,Hanadi Rafii,Vanderson Rocha,Eliane Gluckman +6 more
TL;DR: Information is provided about the role of CECs and EPCs in hematological malignancies and their implication in predicting disease activity as well as improving HSCT outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth hormone deficiency caused by pituitary stalk interruption in Diamond-Blackfan anemia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Langerhans' cells are depleted in chronic graft versus host disease.
Selim Aractingi,Eliane Gluckman,M C Dauge-Geffroy,C. Le Goue,A Flahaut,L. Dubertret,Edgardo D. Carosella +6 more
TL;DR: Langerhans' cells were significantly reduced in skin with lesions of chronic GvHD but not in skin without lesions from the same patient, suggesting that the reduction is a direct consequence of Gv HD and not linked to immunosuppressive drugs or late effects of conditioning regimens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcomes of Cord Blood Transplantation Using Reduced-Intensity Conditioning for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: A Study on Behalf of Eurocord and Cord Blood Committee of Cellular Therapy and Immunobiology Working Party, Chronic Malignancies Working Party of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, and the Societe Francaise de Greffe de Moelle et Therapie Cellulaire
Erick Xavier,Jérôme Cornillon,Annalisa Ruggeri,Patrice Chevallier,Jan J. Cornelissen,Niels Smedegaard Andersen,Natacha Maillard,Stéphanie Nguyen,Didier Blaise,Eric Deconinck,Hendrik Veelken,Noel Milpied,Michel van Gelder,Régis Peffault de Latour,Eliane Gluckman,Nicolaus Kröger,Johannes Schetelig,Vanderson Rocha +17 more
TL;DR: The most common RIC used was cyclophosphamide, fludarabine, and total body irradiation (TBI) in 82% of the patients.
