Journal ArticleDOI

Comprehensive functional evaluation of variants of fibroblast growth factor receptor genes in cancer

TL;DR: It is revealed that recurrent compound mutations within FGFRs affect the transforming potential and TKI-sensitivity of corresponding kinases, which reveals the necessity to develop next-generation FGFR inhibitors, which are effective against all oncogenic FGFR variants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Screening for genomic fragments that are methylated specifically in colorectal carcinoma with a methylated MLH1 promoter

TL;DR: Using methylated CpG island amplification coupled with representational difference analysis (MCA-RDA), genomic fragments that are selectively methylated in CRCs positive for MLH1 methylation are screened, resulting in the identification of hundreds of C pG islands containing genomic fragments.
Journal ArticleDOI

DNA microarray analysis of T cell-type lymphoproliferative disease of granular lymphocytes

TL;DR: Microarray analysis with a purified T‐cell subset is an efficient approach to investigate the pathological condition of Tcell‐type LDGL, and expression of the gene for interleukin 1β was specific to LDGL T cells, which was further confirmed by the examination of the serum level of IL‐1β protein.
Journal ArticleDOI

STK10 missense mutations associated with anti-apoptotic function.

TL;DR: The results suggest that STK 10 functions as a tumor suppressor gene, and that dysfunction of STK10 activity either through polymorphism or somatic mutations may confer anti-apoptotic effects contributing to carcinogenesis.
