Journal ArticleDOI

Alpha-tail production with ion-cyclotron-resonance heating of 4He-beam ions in JET plasmas.

TL;DR: Third-harmonic ion-cyclotron-resonance heating of 4He-beam ions has produced for the first time on the JET tokamak high-energy populations of 4 He ions to simulate 3.5 MeV fusion-born alpha (alpha) particles to test alpha diagnostics in the early nonactivated phase of operation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of the JET results

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of the plasma-facing components of the day-one tungsten divertor in ITER-like wall has been carried out, showing that the pattern of deposition within the divertor has changed significantly with respect to the JET carbon wall campaigns due to the absence of thermally activated chemical erosion of beryllium in contrast to carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy resolution of gamma-ray spectroscopy of JET plasmas with a LaBr3 scintillator detector and digital data acquisition.

TL;DR: The digital and analog spectrometry methods were compared for different experimental conditions and an algorithm based on pulse shape fitting was developed, providing energy resolution equivalent to the traditional analogSpectrometry method.
