Measurement of the 235U(n, f) cross section relative to the 6Li(n, t) and 10B(n, α) standards from thermal to 170 keV neutron energy range at n_TOF

S. Amaducci, +135 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the 235U(n, f) cross section at n_TOF relative to 6Li n, t and 10B n,α, with high resolution (L= 183. 49 (2) m) and in a wide energy range (25meV-170keV).
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct experimental evidence for very long fission times of super-heavy elements

TL;DR: In this article, the blocking technique in single crystals has been applied to reaction time measurements for the 238U + Ge system at 6.1 MeV/nucleon, which provides a direct experimental evidence for Z = 124 compound nuclei living longer than 10-18 s.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the 54,57Fe(n,γ) Cross Section in the Resolved Resonance Region at CERN n_TOF

G. Giubrone, +106 more
- 01 May 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the (n, γ ) cross sections of these two isotopes in the resolved resonance region were summarized using the Pulse-Height Weighting Technique in combination with an experimental setup optmized for reducing neutron induced backgrounds.
