Measurements of transverse energy distributions in Au plus Au collisions at root s(NN)=200 GeV

J. Adams, +144 more
- 02 Jul 2004 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the transverse energy (E{sub T}) distributions for Au+Au collisions at {radical}s{sub NN} = 200 GeV by the STAR collaboration at RHIC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Underlying Event measurements in pp collisions at \( \sqrt {s} = 0.9 \) and 7 TeV with the ALICE experiment at the LHC

Betty Abelev, +1012 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present measurements of Underlying Event observables in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 0.9 and 7 TeV. The analysis is performed as a function of the highest charged-particle transverse momentum pT,LT in the event, which is performed with charged particles above three different pT thresholds: 0.15, 0.5 and 1.0 GeV/c.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence of Spin-Orbital Angular Momentum Interactions in Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions.

Shreyasi Acharya, +1020 more
TL;DR: The measured spin alignment is unexpectedly large but qualitatively consistent with the expectation from models which attribute it to a polarization of quarks in the presence of angular momentum in heavy-ion collisions and a subsequent hadronization by the process of recombination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Azimuthally sensitive hanbury brown-twiss interferometry in Au + Au collisions sqrt S sub NN = 200 GeV

J. R. Adams, +144 more
TL;DR: Azimuthally Sensitive Hanbury Brown-Twiss Interferometry in Au+Au Collisions at s N N = 200 GeV J.W. Harris, 45 M.M.S.
Journal ArticleDOI

Net-charge fluctuations in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76 TeV

Betty Abelev, +1015 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first measurement of the net charge fluctuations in Pb-Pb collisions at s_NN 2.76 TeV was reported with the ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.
